Thanks for the heads up.
Look! It’s Marylin Monroe!
You totally pull that look off taxi.
I always miss the spam. Maybe I have a sixth sense that allows me to avoid spam. Maybe that’s my super power. A weird super power that would be!
ETA: twicks good job with the spam-be-gone.
Yes, by Richaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhd!.
It snowed. Then it didn’t.
Thanks, Twicks!
LiLi, I’m your kind of guest. Just make enough for 5th helpings.
Congrats to Tatersson!

Hi guys! The exodus is complete, with the exception to some stuff that has been shipped or mailed and has yet to arrive. I am exhausted but blissed out with being home. Everything hasn’t been roses, but that I’ve neither imploded nor exploded, especially considering the season and how late it is for me to be shopping is an amazing thing.
I am in love with this house which I purchased as a pig in a poke, with my dad acting on my behalf with the realtor and my faith in photos my mom took in addition to the house inspector’s report. There is some room for change, but nothing major, mostly cosmetic. No fugly chandeliers, lol!
I will post more, with photos, as we get settled in. I the meantime I want to offer my MMPer friends happy holiday wishes, you hold a special place in my heart, even when I go into Invisibility Mode.
Happy Firday Everyone! Good Morning swampus! (It’s the only way I will ever be able to wish good morning to many of you in your morning!)
Morning all, up and nearly caffeinating (the coffee isn’t brewed yet, believe it or not!) – never fear, I soon will be caffeinated and then half-way decent. And oh yeah, Happy FIRDAY!
So glad that you’re settling in okay, kai (pardons asked for, 'cause I can’t remember your new nickname! :(). Are doggies and kitties acclimating okay too? Anxious for pics!
Fed. Govt. is supposed to be at work -on time- today, so looks like I gotta haul myself out there. It took me two hours plus to get home yesterday during the snow storm–the roads hadn’t been treated yet and the schools were getting out two hours early. Everything slowed to a complete crawl. But that was a good thing; there were still many accidents! I’m just crossing my fingers that the storm currently forecast for Sat. night isn’t bad!
Rosie’s .sig to all in need; have a great day because it’s almost the weekend!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. It’s Firday!!! YAY!!!
Wiki glad everything is goin’ pretty good. FWIW I had da cave built brand spankin’ new and still wish I had done some things differently. I still have a vision of makin’ the kitchen, dinin’ room and laundry room bigger by enclosin’ the garage. However that is a major renovation and I doubt it will ever be done, but still a bear can dream.
It’s 60 Amurrkin out and foggy. This may be the high temp for the day. Yep it’s definitely December in south Jawja.
Ok, need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demads to be fed. Then purtification for work must commence. Got a bunch of paperwork stuff to catch up on today. Rah.
Happy Firday Y’all!
The Snowstorm Of The Century (for this week, at least) yesterday was a real nightmare. My usual commute is just shy of an hour, if I don’t stop anywhere. I boogied home from work at 1030, and it took me 3 hours. As a matter ofr explanation, I had lotsa stops.
Three of them were wrecks, with one seriously injured patient. He had head injuries; his pickemup truck slid off the road and hit several trees.
I got talked into picking up a birthday cake for Neighbor Lauren’s 16th birthday party for tomorrow. Nervous laughter from her when I delivered it, and said her birthday party was worth risking my life for…
I wanna see her nubile friends playing bikini-clad volleyball in the snow, too…
Went to Lowes for ice melt, and they were sold out. I had to settle for a bag of water softener rock salt instead.
Almost home, and there was a page for a major wreck, semi vs. car. I responded, going a hair raising 30 MPH on a road fit only for snowmobiles. The call was soon cancelled when the sheriff got there and found no injuries.
At least I FINALLY got to make the chikkies ‘n’ dumplins I’ve been craving for a week.
Two weeks of gainful employment to go. Come on, transfer paperwork. Daddy needs a new gig.
Brrr.
That’s about all I have to say.
Yeah – I know. But she is dead damn serious about it. The very rare Straubs (no salt, no preservatives) maybe.
Had some excitement at work on the back half of our building. Businessmen one, bad guys zero. But I’m getting way old for this kinda crap. Think I may just look around and see what the waters hold. Maybe that hermit job over in England that I read about once is available.
It was a good dinner party. They cleaned up, and brought 4 litres of wine. We only got through two and a half. For four people. It’s a lot. Very Argumentative Friend was all leany by the time he went home.
I just unloaded Gnat on my Mum, and am going to take Tom Kitten out to finish up my Christmas shopping. For my parents. No idea.
Howdy Y’all! My irkweek is over. Yay! I have a set amount of hours to work each week and I reached 'em at eleven a.m. Got through a pile of paperwork though, so there’s that.
This evenin’ we are goin’ to a little Christmas open house soiree at a local assisted livin’ place. We know several of the residents and our attendance has been requested, social butterflies that we are. So for an hour and a half we shall sip wine and nibble on horsenerves or however one spells that. Afterwards Papa John’s shall prepare dindin.
Ok, off to do umm… stuff.
Up, caffeinated, off to irk. I saw my apartment in daylight for the first time in 2 weeks.
Good morning everyone.
I’ve been up awhile, but need to get a move on. I have lots to do, and not a lot of time.
It definitely got cold out last night. When I woke up, everything was white, really white, with frost.
Today has been doctor day… liver ultrasound, eye doctor, and hearing aid place for dad. And I have a pot of veggie beef soup on. Mmm.
Bambilance duty tonight. Maybe my last for this station…
It has just occured to me I have been remiss!

Dang - too bad I gave mine away - it would have made the perfect housewarming gift… Hope the new phase of your life is everything you want it to be!
**BBBobbio **- yeah, get to work on the transfer stuff, **Mooooooooom **needs a Mumper neighbor!
Roads here weren’t bad this morning at all, and they were mostly dry on the way home. Daughter cleared the leavin’s on the driveway this morning, and it’s just wet now, so yay for that!
I was going to take **FCD **out for our delayed anniversary dinner tonight, but he’s just too tired. So it’s N.O.T. soup for two. Daughter is going out with friends for dinner and gawking at lights and stuff.
My poor sweetie has to work tomorrow at least and possibly Sunday. So I’ll need to amuse myself tomorrow. Food Lion had Russets buy one, get one, so I’ve got 10# that I’ll scrub and bake tomorrow, some for twice-baked, some for soup. That’ll kill some time. Plus I have laundry to do and a carpet that I could shampoo and an afghan to assemble. Then after lunch…
But for now, I need to feed the critters and start making supper.
I have a food hangover. Yesterday was office party, with yummy Italian, and lots of it, covered in cheese and sauce, followed by 17 different chocolate desserts, and 5 more that weren’t chocolate; then last night was the chorus party - much fun - more food, followed by a cannoli cream filled cake; then today at irk, leftovers from yesterday. Blurf.
Just for the record, using half-n-half instead of milk when making potato soup is a very goooooooood idea! It was most definitely yummerrific!
