The Incredibles- Pixar's next movie looks GREAT

Lots of times, you can just go to your Temporary Internet Files after you’ve watched a trailer/clip/etc once and save it out of there. Just arrange the list by size and look for the largest files. Those are usually gonna be your video clips. Sometimes you’ll just get a link to the file on line, but often the file is downloaded to your computer without you even knowing it.

Cool tip Mac Carnage. Didn’t know that. Thanks!

Cool tip Max Carnage. Didn’t know that. Thanks!

There is one recurring Pixar reference that was done out of necessity and became a running gag, based on an article I read. In A Bug’s Life, they needed some various things to be junk in the bug city. They were running out of ideas, and made one of them the Pizza Planet truck. Since then, the truck has appeared in all of Pixar’s films.

For accuracy’s sake, I should point out that the lamp is Luxo, not Luxor. Luxo is an actual brand of lamp, and a trademark notice for it appears in the end of Luxo Jr.

Speaking of recurring stuff, what voice actor has appeared in all of Pixar’s movies?

Anyone? Anyone?

The much-overlooked John Ratzenberger! He was Hamm the piggy bank in the Toy Story movies, he voiced ringmaster P.T. Flea in A Bug’s Life, he was the Yeti in Monsters, Inc., and he voiced a school of fish in Finding Nemo.

And I’m sure they’ll find a place for him in The Incredibles, too.

Sorry to post twice in a row, but I forgot to include something:

Sometimes, a movie you view on the net won’t make a temporary file on your hard drive. In that case, you might still be able to save a copy for yourself. Go to the page on which the movie appears and select “Page Source” from your View menu.

In the source code for the page, look for a URL that ends with .mov (assuming you’re looking at a QuickTime .mov). Copy that URL. Crack open a text editor and put in the following:

<HTML>
<a href="http://url.you.copied">Download me!</a>

Save that file as plain text somewhere. Go back to your browser, pick Open File from the File menu, and open the text file you just made. You now have a link you can right-click, which means you can save the file wherever you want.

I know, it’s complicated. Well, if you know a better way, you tell me! By the way, the above works on Macs or PCs alike.

A better way is to use a download manager, which is essentially a faster way of doing the same thing.

According to IMDB, the Pizza Planet truck and a car from Pixar’s next movie Cars can both be seen drving past the dentist’s office.

Oh, does anyone know who voiced the dentist’s neice? I thought it sounded just like Boo (only intelligible) but I can’t find a credit for the character.
