I just read the wiki article about Excipients (learned a new word!) and was wondering what happens to all the inert fillers and such that are in the pills we swallow on a daily basis. I know they often serve multiple purposes including absorption of medication but was wondering if they could ever potentially cause a negative impact in the long-term, I would assume most danger is eliminated by the acid in the stomach.
