I’ve had cable a few times.
We’ve had no TV service for almost 2 years now, using instead the Netflix streaming service, Xbox Live Marketplace, iTunes, and…well bittorrent 0:).
Once, when the Swedish TV-checkers knocked on my door, in the middle of Friends. I had to pay for a month then… crap.
How do you pay for BBC in the UK?

fisha only gets a toothpick because of that six month special they had when I was in college. All the channels for $25, including HBO, TMC, Encore, Starz, etc.
Since I moved out of my parent’s house 8 years ago, I’ve only had cable about 1/4 of the time, and most of it was in the dorms (part of the package).
Is that the thing that you need to see any TV pretty soon? Or is it the thing that you need to unscramble signals for regular cable/dish/sat that you are cough:stealing:cough?
If you steal the signals, I get your toothpick. If it’s just that thing we are all going to need soon, you can keep it.
Or is it something else entirely?

I have never paid for TV either! I currently have cable, but my wife pays for that (we are newlyweds and won’t be co-mingling our funds until the new year) and before I met her I didn’t have a TV, before that my room mate paid for the cable, before that college where I again didn’t have a TV and before that my parents.
