We got our first snow yesterday Morning.
Born in Iowa, grew up in Ohio, spend time in Mariposa, CA Aren’t we supposed to have moved to embarrassing questions?
The town I grew up in is about 100 km south of the polar circle. In fact, I’m there right now for a brief pre-christmas visit. It’s -10 (Celsius) outside, which is on the warm side of average for this time of year.
Here are your toothpicks NAF1138; my revenge will be gruesome.
Well never having been in snow is embarrasing for me.
Same with the bike thing.
And if I chose a sex question I think the only thing left is beastiality and necrophilia and something tells me those aren’t going to earn me many toothpicks.
I hate snow.
I’ve seen snow a half dozen times.
Here’s your toothpicksicles…
We may have snow by Saturday.
You’ve taken it in the butt? I never would have guessed!
You want a real answer to that question?
NAF, you can have my toothpicks after I clean my boots with them.
I once experienced 30" of snow in less than 24 hours.
BUFFY: A world of no.
(Someday, I’m going to post all my replies in the form of Buffy/Angel quotes.)
I have a photo response this time. Though it only happens maybe once a year, and usually not as deep as the year pictured (back when I was in High School sometime around 1989), it does indeed snow in Southern Humboldt, a mere 6 miles from the beach as the crow flies.
That’s a redwood sapling planted in the middle of the circular driveway. It is now about 3 ’ diameter at the base and the top extends well out of the frame.
I live in central NC and we’ve already experienced brief flurries this year.
I can’t keep up with the scoring until Revenant Threshold posts. If he does not join us by 5 pm tomorrow, I’ll figure out how to reallocate the toothpicks.
For a second, I thought bufftabby was involved, and I would have been out of here
But yes, I’ve seen snow. It snowed here yesterday.
No… snow? Does…not…compute.
I have a photograph around here somewhere, which unfortunately has not been digitized, of a foot of snow sitting on the inside of my windowsill in my shitty student apartment in Chicago one winter.
What? That must’ve been one really shitty apartment that had no glass in the windows
This is a game of sharing, however, I’m not asking you to share something you’d rather not (not that you would, anyway).
It was the blizzard of '99. The wind was blowing so hard that snow came in via the gaps in the sill (it was a very shitty apartment). Luckily, if you can call it that, it was a bathroom window, so the snow just melted down into the bathtub.
Oh damn!
mental note to self; don’t live in Chicago if there’s a blizzard
