The Japanese Video Game Industry Has An...Interesting Take On US Politics...

Metal Wolf Chaos, in which the US President hops into a giant robot, to fight crime for great justice…

My nose bled from all the awesome.

So very seconded. I hope it’s coming out over here. The President looks like Michael Douglas, too.

“Riiiichaaard!!”

I loved the Statue of Liberty with the glowing red eyes. Oh, and the Mecha White House…

Sheeoot, I thought it was an anime, not a video game! Let me know when the TV adaptation comes out

Nothing is pointless! And the reason is because I’m the president of the great United States of America! Yaaah!

All your votes are belong to me!

The translators of this game need to be the writers for the next State of the Union.

D’oh! “Video game” is right there in the thread title! I saw “Japanese” and my brain automatically said “anime”! You mean they make other stuff, too??

I wonder how beautiful that lovely building would look if it was destroyed. I feel sorry for the owner, but…

That line I quoted does sound like something Bush would say. Except for the “yaaah!” part because he wouldn’t want to vindicate Howard Dean.

The subtitles were very informative. I had no idea that “Yeah!” was the Japanese word for “Whoo!”

I’d vote for him. People calling the president and vice-president by first name sounds a little strange. It would be so much better if the quotes said “I’ll get you, Turd Blossom!”

Totally unrealistic. A news team that LEAVES a story as it’s happening? Nope, they laugh at danger.

They probably left to get a giant robot reporting vehicle.
I love the bit where he grabs the tank, goes into an airplane spin while demolishing the bridge and yells “HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?!!” If appears to be one of his standard sound clips, too. That’s awesome.
