The Keystone Cops were never this bad

If the ever tried to write this in a movie, no one would believe it!
From the Philadelphia suburb of Colwyn, PA this past week. (All text in quotes is from one of the various articles from the Phila Daily News)…& of course, all of this is alleged

“The 17-year-old boy was allegedly arrested for fighting n April 24, charged with disorderly conduct and placed in a holding cell, according to sources. The officer allegedly Tasered the boy up to nine times, sources said, for reasons that are still unclear. The juvenile was allegedly Tasered once in the head and may have been handcuffed, sources said.” There is a supposed cover-up of said Tasering.

[ul]The main players:
[li]“Deputy Chief Wendell Reed, who is heading the department while Chief Bryan Hills remains out because of an ongoing legal battle with borough council.”[/li][li]Mayor Daniel Rutland[/li][li]Lt. Wesley Seitz[/li][/ul]

[ul][li]“According to sources, Reed was planning to fire Seitz Thursday in retaliation for investigating the incident and reporting it.”[/li][li]“State police were called to the scene today for back up as Rutland delivered the news to Reed” (that he was suspended).[/li]Three officers placed on leave, the officer who was zap-happy, another who witnessed it, & DC Reed.
[li]"Wednesday night, in response to the mayor’s placing those men on leave, council voted to place Lt. Wesley Seitz, who they believed was the whistle-blower for the incident, on leave as well. Mayor Daniel Rutland then declared a state of emergency so that he could reinstate Seitz. But Thursday night, council overrode Rutland’s decision and lifted the state of emergency, placed Seitz back on leave and reinstated Reed. "[/ul][/li]

Somebody is afraid of SOMETHING, that’s for sure.

I remember a line from a song I read in a short story once. It seems to apply to those who want to punish “squealers” or “whistle-blowers”

There’s none ever feared
That the truth should be heard
But them what the truth would indite!

Ok, I just found out those lines are from a poem by Robert Burns.

That’s right, the borough is .3 square miles, as in [point] 3, or almost 1/3 of a mile.

Tonight, the borough council lifted the latest state of emergency & reinstated the Lt.
