The Last Eclipse of the 2nd Millennium!

On Christmas this year, a 72% (at maximum) partial solar eclipse will be visible to most of North America (to various degrees) except for Alaska, Yukon, northern British Columbia, NW Alberta, and Central American countries south of Nicuragua. In the US, it will go from a minimum of 12% in San Diego, CA to 62% in northern Maine (where I’ll probably be).

Pretty interesting timing if you ask me.

Another interesting note (from the above website): After all the debate about the threshhold of the 20th/21st Centuries AD (also 2nd/3rd Millennium AD), the author of the above page, Fred Espenak, said:

Gawd, I think I love that man! :D:D:D

bringing it to the top again.

Are you going to keep bumping until Christmas?
