Was reading this article, The Last Flight of Scott Crossfield during lunch today, and thought this might be of interest to some here, particularly the Aviator Dopers. I am ashamed to admit I had never heard of the guy, who was a pioneer in aviation in every sense of the word. Enjoy.

Played by one of the best “invisible” actors in recent years, Scott Wilson. His most visible presence in recent years has been as Catherine Willows’ father on “CSI.” He’s one of those invisible actors that once you actually notice him, you start seeing him everywhere.
