The last thing I bought on Ebay was...

A set of three framed art prints.
Of dogs playing poker.
C’mon, I’m a guy.

A vintage fencing mask for only $16.00

Very nice and sturdy.

a kit filled with Bare Minerals Foundation in #3, and several other bare minerals cosmetics. It was about $25.00 and worth every penny, as far as I’m concerned.

Four soup plates in the china pattern I’m trying to get a full set of.

God, what an ugly sentence. Let me try again: I have a china pattern. I’m trying to get a full set of dishes. I bought four soup plates.

An import of Double Indemnity on DVD for $14.99

A 1/4 string bass for my son. Shipping and handling was almost as much as the purchase price. Still, it’s ended up costing less than renting for two years would have.

I do still wonder what motivated the shortest kid in the orchestra class to decide he had to play the bass.

a pair of Dansko sandals. For a sweet deal!

A Corey Patterson Game Used Pants Rookie Card.

= a baseball card of Corey Patterson, featuring a piece of fabric from a pair of pants he wore in an actual game.

My latest eBay purchase was a 3Com Home ethernet router w/Print Server
for $17 w shipping, which will be a great deal if it works (and will almost be worth the royal pain in the ass I bought it from - most unpleasant eBay transaction I’ve had by far).

A pack of 140 sheets of origami paper for my son. $3.50 including shipping.

A Monet “Water Lillies” framed print for a friend’s birthday. I think I got it for $35 incl. shipping.

It’s been a couple years since bought anything on e-Bay. I have a nice paperweight collection because of them. I beleive the last one I bought was made by my favorite paperweight maker, Robert Hamon-Miller of Hannibal, MO. It has a thick black inner twist with colorful spots on it and gold speckles on the edges, cased in clear glass. Man, is it cool and I got a great deal on it.

First edition copy of Dave Davies’ autobiography what has a different dust jacket than the US and UK first editions. (Last year I managed to snag an editor’s correction copy).

The same thing the last six or eight or ten purchases have been – a shell lamp. ('50s kitsch – shells and plastic figures stuck in plaster, wired with a nightlight bulb, used as “TV lamps” – perched on top of the huge Philco to provide a little ambient light – back in the day.)

I have a pretty serious collection of these.

An “Ultimate Clip Loader”, an (almost) automatic magazine loader for a Ruger Mark II pistol (and a wonderful thumb saving device).

Unclviny

Blind Melon’s self-titled CD for $2.50.

Riding boots for my son…a steal at $17.

3 camp shirts. Less than $10.00, including shipping.

An autographed picture.

Great series, that is. I most recently got a Geforce 4 MX 440 video card for $15; good for my second computer.

a limited edition glow in the dark Buddy Christ for my brother this past Christmas
