You’ve reposted a political opinion piece from… Dale Winton!? As food for thought?! I’ve literally been chuckling away for several minutes now. I stop and then suddenly I remember that someone’s posted a political opinion piece by Dale “Supermarket Sweep” Winton as the O.P. of a thread, as if its some sort of pearl of wisdom or launchpad for debate, and then I start chuckling again.
I’m not seeing anything new or insightful in what he says, anyway. I guess we can at least now add Dale Winton to the long list of “celebs” that have supported Trump.
FYI; Dale Winton only became the late Dale Winton a few days ago.
So that’s why the article got republished: they scoured his body of work for any words of wisdom. What a tragedy that this was the best.
And yet he was right on several things: for instance the Left are bullies and you cannot bully Trump.
Even if both those things were true (and they aren’t), the fact that some people are trying to defend the president in those terms shows just how shitty things have got.
Then why does he cry like a whining little bitch every time Mueller’s investigation implicates another of his close associates? The fact that he lashes out doesn’t mean he can’t be bullied. In fact I believe he can be easily bullied & manipulated. There are people in his orbit that have tons of dirt on him, it seems. That he has no capacity for shame or self-awareness does not mean he cannot be punished. It just means that when it does happen, in whatever form, the wreckage will be a huge public spectacle.
I don’t agree that either of those is true. Of more relevance is that Trump is a bully. A bully towards anyone who disagrees with him, including regular citizens. To say he’s a disgrace to the office of the president would be an understatement.
The one thing that I think Trump was absolutely right about is this: If you tell people a lie, no matter how egregious, enough/many/most will believe it. It’s the single iota of “truth” on which his entire life is built.
Really? Have you never looked at a deplorable’s or an alt-right troll’s twitter feed? Bullying and hating on people is their way of life. These people voted Trump into power precisely because he’s a bully.
Trump’s a bit paradoxical in that he’s probably the most thin-skinned leader the Western world has seen in modern times, but he also has absolutely no sense of embarrassment or shame.
Seriously, posting in earnest the political opinion of Dale Winton - Dale Winton! - for serious discussion is farcical, and something that could come straight out of Brass Eye or The Onion. Like when Clothahump recently complained about critics of Trump on these boards having no self-control. Critics of Trump!
