The late Dale Winton on Trump

Conservative Woman has republished an article from May 2016 by the late Dale Winton - a TV celeb best known for the likes of Supermarket Sweep and Pick of the Pops - on Donald Trump.

Naturally, he takes the piss out of himself,

but he ends on a surprisingly serious note:

Food for thought.

Thanks, but I’ll go hungry.

I expect even the zombies are going hungry, in his neighborhood.

I think I just pulled a rib laughing. What a sense of humor that guy had. Maybe he meant “he’s got a knife in your back”.

To paraphrase Charley Partanna, “If Dale Winton was so fucking smart, why is he so fucking dead?”

These sorts of comments make no sense. Trump has shown absolutely no love for his country or any desire to have anyone’s back. He’s made it clear that everything for him is about himself, and maybe his family as a distant second. He has absolutely no loyalty to anyone, and will do what’s best for him. The only problem is that he’s so emotionally driven that he often isn’t capable of making even rational choices.

How the fuck does anyone ever think that Trump cares about them? He has never, ever, ever, ever said anything to indicate such. Even abusive spouses have to fake caring about people, but Trump can’t even do that.

Why do people not get that an asshole who has only ever been an asshole is not a good hearted person? What is wrong with our society that they can’t tell that someone who treats everyone like shit is bad? Why do I keep seeing people praising trolls or other horrible people?

It boggles my mind how people can miss something so basic. If someone is an asshole and treats others horrible, they are a bad person. That’s not to say you can’t treat people well and be a bad person, too, but anyone who treats people badly will eventually treat you badly. So don’t fucking empower them!

Hey, like Charley Partanna and I said…

It’s the basic way a con works. The con man convinces you that you’re part of the con; the two of you are working together to rip off some other guy. You knows a con is occurring but you think you’re on the inside. But you’re the sucker. The other guy who is supposedly the victim is another con man and the two of them are working together to rip you off.

Trump is the con man and Trump voters are the suckers. They think Trump is on their side and they’re working together to stick it to somebody else. But Trump is playing them.

Willful ignorance/selective blindness.

Hmmm. Let me see. Shall I spend any time pondering the incisive political insights of the presenter of “Pets Win Prizes”?

Nope.

Donald Trump has your back?

Right. And I’m the queen of Romania.

I just don’t get it.

He’s not a liberal, he’s not a conservative, he’s a Trumpist. If spouting the views of either side (which he has done) gets him something, he says that.

The guy has been a con man his whole life. His entire strategy comes down to fooling people into thinking that he and they are going to get rich together. And then he screws them over.

Why doesn’t everyone get this???

Remember all those times the liberal Left* and political correctness took your lunch money, gave you an atomic wedgie and stuffed you into your locker? Yeah, me neither.

  • Not to be confused with the arch-conservative Left

You guys both beat me to it. Couldn’t have said it better myself!

And just because Trump has turned the presidency into a realty TV show doesn’t mean the rest of us are playing along.

“His attack on political correctness is reason enough, but that’s still not it.”

Donald Trump did not attack “political correctness”. Trump attacked common decency, humanity, and respect.

Yeah, but we’re all watching and you know how much the fat orange imbecile loves ratings.

A TV producer parrots the same vapid thoughts trotted out on Brietbart during the campaign, and we’re supposed to find that profound? That makes no sense.

We already knew that there were some people out there who fell for Trump’s lies. Are we supposed to find it relevant that a D-list TV host was among those people?

Only to the extent that we’re waiting for him to be voted off the island.

That’s the problem when Trump went into politics. When he was a TV host, those of us who didn’t want to watch could just change the channel. But now he’s President and all of us are stuck with him, whether we voted for him or not.

Same thing, just a different name.
