Yep, but you’d still have to defend yourself if the case came up. Which would be a hassle.
Its a message board, you want journalistic levels of integrity - I’d suggest…maybe the BBC?

A public official trying to make a legal claim against another person for his or her opinion on a message board wouldn’t get past the filing stage. If the official had a lawyer with any common sense, it wouldn’t even get that far. So what is Ms. Spam so afraid of?
I just wish there would be some integrity to posts in Great Debates/Elections, but that isn’t going to happen, so if I see it in the BBQ, I’m gonna call it like I see it.
I also want a pony.
I don’t really get what you are going on about. I’m not going to post someone’s name and then accuse them of acting like an asshole. I’m sure that is illegal, or at least wrong. I’m also pretty sure that recording people without their consent is illegal, or at least wrong. Whining and moaning about something someone did in vague terms is normal behavior. No one gets hurt, people get informed about the possibility of nastiness, and life moves on. For example, a person in a brown minivan cut me off and was weaving all over the road today and me saying “why can’t minivan drivers drive and maybe she is drunk” is very different from posting her license plate number and saying the same.
Not to mention that has very little to do with the point of the thread. I was trying to point out that these laws are NOT based on any desire to reduce abortions and are instead based on a strange male impulse to control the behavior of women and are rooted in hatred, not some desire to protect fetuses.
Incorrect.
Incorrect, in most U.S. jurisdictions.
It’s right in some jurisdictions, but wrong in others? Ethics and morals are ruled state by state now?
I wonder if, since the only thing in D’Anconia’s viewable profile is a Biblical quote, he/she could possibly be pro-life and that could be a motivation for attempting to derail the thread.
Hmmm…
Laws are. I’m sorry if that is confusing to you.
So if we are going to be absurd, have you had a vasectomy? I hear they are good for preventing abortions and barely hurt at all. Got a video of yourself having one?
…and yet another thread sidetracked by the current incarnation of the “Dio Show”/.
D’anconia enters a thread, takes the opposite viewpoint of whatever is being discussed, and rational discourse stops so that we can all attend to the attention whore.

What does that have to do with price of tea in China?
Not a single person in the universe cares what phone you are posting from, jackass.
No. An opinion, based on disclosed facts, is not a lie.
Hey, fucknut, not a single person in this thread cares what you think about anything, cuntfunnel.
You forgot that she didn’t record it because it would be illegal, until learning it wasn’t illegal, at which point she couldn’t reach her phone in time to record it.
I think you took your opposition to this law – which, in fairness to you, has some very principled arguments against it – and decided to add some personal flair to,the issue by creating or embellishing an event associated with it.
Flair, creative posting, and embellishing do not add to the debate, they subtract.
If he turns it off, do you promise to go away and never come back?

He’s too dumb to turn it off, apparently.
That’s OK, you can still go away and never come back.

Not much to do with tea, but lots to do with abortions. Every single abortion had a man involved. If you’ll look at the Lancet study I posted, approximately 70% of abortions are requested by married couples. One can only wonder why the man didn’t get a vasectomy if the couple had decided they had enough children already.
