I second the nomination. Honorable mention goes to a short story by Philip Jose Farmer (I’ve forgotten the title) wherein God decides that the End of the World will be done as a movie. God plays Himself. So does the Devil. Harlan Ellison is hired to write the screenplay, but he’s fired for swearing too much. Cecil B. DeMille is brought back from the dead to direct.
