The left & right are both happy. Win-win election.

Both sides are secretly happy. All I see on facebook is the alt-right/religious right/far right bragging they won, then a counterbalance from the left (they aren’t divided so we’ll just say the left) that Hillary won the popular vote…never ends.

If Trump had won popular/lost electoral, we’d be seeing small militias of truly dangerous men with enough ammo to take out a small village protesting instead of classic liberals from every shade of hipster/hippie/SWPL, past-to-present & disenfranchised minorities & pissed off college kids who really thought their vote could “make a difference”. There’s probably some “Can I speak to a manager” types of women who try to confuse waiters for free food sprinkled in as well, but don’t really care that Hillary lost joining the fight.

By & large, these people are not dangerous. The ones who are, most likely are pissed off men (who probably don’t even know what the popular vote means) simply using the protests as nothing more than a vessel to channel their anger. If you hear of a violent protester, the alt-right will say he was funded by Soros. That’s become their narrative. Sort of how back in the 90s, anything bad was blamed on Marilyn Manson.
It takes a very rational person to realize this, which is why most cannot.

The right has some concerns as to if their Guru-in-Chief Don Trump will even ascend to the pulpit, so their true delight isn’t Trump winning, but relishing that the so-called liberals lost.

The left is happy because they have a reason to complain. Hillary won the popular vote. It’s hard to argue with straightforward logic & simple mathematics.

The right will say, “Our founding fathers set it up that way, can’t argue with the FF’s, I said you can’t!” Just like a teacher scolding a pupil.

They seem to forget if the FF’s had their way, a certain minority group would still be picking cotton. So, sometimes the FF’s do need to be challenged.

Another thing I’ve seen on the right (specifically the alt-right) is how Freudian it’s gotten. Freud himself couldn’t imagine this.

-There’s alt-right men saying the Trump victory will mean improved virility
-Alt-right men saying wearing the MAGA hat makes them irresistible to women
-Alt-right men saying they had a dream they showered in “liberal tears”
-If it rains, that’s liberal tears
-Alt-right men saying they would like to rub liberal tears on their…fill in the blank
-Memes of Trump Salt Company, made from…100% American liberal tears

Basically, what this Trump “win” equates to is nothing more than upset socially goofy men beating on the chest like a gorilla.

It’s actually more Freudian for them, & I think most of them are overcorrecting considering in a fair world, they actually lost the election.

Trump on 60 Minutes said he would prefer a “simple” system then said if someone gets 100 million votes & if the other gets 90 million, 100 million should win. He doesn’t even want to live in DC & plans to goto New York a few nights a week, on the taxpayer dime.

Don’t expect this weird election to end just yet. There could be an executive order, martial law if the protests don’t stop, Trump may even say he doesn’t want to be president since he lost the popular vote by a large margin (600K to 2million depending on projection).

All speculation, but it could an interesting next few months.

Bright and early, eh?

People thinking the popular vote shows Hillary should have won, or that Trump’s statement indicates he doesn’t think he should be president are dead wrong.

Change the system to popular vote and the entire system changes. Campaigning changes completely, and the motivation to vote or not changes as well especially in the bluest and reddest states. It’s certainly possible Hillary would have won, considering the results in nation level polling, but it’s no certainty.

That Trump considers such a system more fair, doesn’t mean he doesn’t consider himself a justified winner. I bet if you told him Californians would have shown up in huge numbers in a national vote and kicked him to the curb, he’d come right back and talk about the huge crowds he’s certain he’d have if he held rallies there.

This, and it bears saying time and time again. The candidates both ran with their campaigns geared to winning the electoral college. If the system were based on the popular vote the campaigns would have been very different, possibly with a different result, possibly not. The popular vote is suggestive but in no way conclusive.

It is entirely possible Hillary also is secretly happy. Maybe one of the reasons she lost is that she just didn’t want it hard enough.

Now, perhaps with a rueful smile she is contemplating being well out of that mess, and feel glad someone more qualified than herself has to sort out America. Whilst she can kick back and start a career lecturing, and for income administer the Clinton Foundation — which she wouldn’t have been able to as president — and now only take as many of those lucrative bank gigs as she wants.

You’re right, anyone who can pitch Trump steaks years after they ceased to exist is eminently more qualified to be president.

And shockingly enough …

If the election were based on total popular vote I would have campaigned in N.Y. Florida and California and won even bigger and more easily

I’m a liberal and only happy with the results of the local elections in Maine. (Except for the fact that we gave an EV to Trump.)

I thought Trump won.

Guess who?

Sonja Henie?

Guy Lombardo?

Warmer!

Drumpfft doesn’t really want to be president.

I got no idea what that man thinks, if that is the word. Its the salesman’s gift, to believe, totally, sincerely, what he’s saying for as long as it takes to make the sale. People respond to temporary sincerity just like the real thing. He actually believed what he said, when he said it. And when he says the opposite…

The Presidency is for closers.

“What’s your platform?”

“FUCK YOU, that’s my platform!”

“See this watch? This watch is worth more than your children! And if I accidentally drop it in the toilet, I flush.”

There’s theories that he’s a modern combination of the Kings Nebuchadezzar, Hadrion, & possibly Nero.

They were tough & both had a “take no prisoners” mentality that Trump exclusively ran on.

The Hitler comparisons are dumb, but they seem to have gained the most power.

Interesting fact: The Emperor Nero built The Golden House, sturdy brick covered with gold leaf, complete with lake and gardening, fronted by a 120" statue of himself.

The lake eventually became the Colosseum holding 80k people.

These theories wouldn’t happen to originate from a file on your desktop called TRUMP_THEORIES.TXT, would they?
