The lethal dose l.s.d.

Hey man what exactly did I not do?

No I never saw the autopsy report. I checked up on him and talked to the hospital. What they reported was cardiac arrest and occlusion of the arteries. I never told them anything about any drugs I just called them up and told them what I saw after he had taken his acid. I never saw the physical paper report or anything like that.

You don’t have many friends, do you?

I guess not as many I should…

So, if you didn’t do his acid, how do you know it was LSD, pure LSD, and not, say, antifreeze?

Mushrooms and LSD will certainly show up on a tox screen *if *you use a tox screen that includes mushrooms and LSD. Most basic ER tox screens don’t, because no one in the ER generally gives a shit if you’ve been taking mushrooms or LSD. They don’t have a whole lot to do with your medical condition, except as a way to explain nausea, in the case of mushrooms. If you go into the ER, they’re going to have you long enough to determine if you’re acting weird because you’re tripping or if you’re acting weird because you’re crazy, even if you don’t tell them you’ve been taking mushrooms or LSD. They’re not interested in busting you, they’re interested in what you might have in you that could be harming your health right then, or could put you in danger if they give you medications.

The “12 Panel” urine screen is often used in the ER, and that tests for:

Amphetamines (including Methamphetamine)
Barbiturates
Benzodiazepines
Buprenorphine
Cannabinoids (THC)
Cocaine
Methadone
Methaqualone
Opioids (Codeine, Morphine, Heroin, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, etc.)
Phencyclidine (PCP)
Propoxyphene
Synthetic cannabinoids (K2, Spice) <—This one’s pretty new; if your hospital is still using tests from a couple of years ago, it may not have this one
Tricyclic antidepressants

So…yeah, I’m not surprised that they didn’t find any LSD or mushrooms in your system with a blood test. Because they probably didn’t look for them.

You didn’t see someone OD on LSD.

You’ve since even stated that you have zero proof that he OD’d on LSD you you might as well stop trying to say that he did.

You said you’ve read other reports of it. If it’s this common why are there no official reports of it?

Oh okay

How do I know it was LSD? Aside from the fact that he told me it was LSD. It had a sweet aroma after a while very similar to that of the acid I have had since then. It was liquid and he had several v I l e s of it.

I pretty sure I know what large amounts of LSD looks and smells like. It smells like lye. I don’t have any hard evidence for you. It has a very sweet aroma I can only describe it as a sweet ethylated aroma with a lye tinge to it.

If its a common thing then why are there no reports of it? As far as I can see that reason would be due to it metabolizing in the to point of where it is untraceable.

You *don’t *know it was LSD. That’s my point. You’re assuming it was LSD. He may also have been assuming it was LSD. But it probably wasn’t, or it was LSD mixed with something else. That’s a *lot *more likely than you being the only person on earth to ever observe someone overdosing on LSD taken by mouth.

Oh no! You’re from Milwaukee Wisconsin? Hahahah oh no! No wonder you are so avid to tell me to stop talking about this. Are you like in the dead family? I hear Wisconsin is like the place where people claim dominion over LSD. That makes perfect sense. Dead family is joke man.

Are you by chance currently tripping?

The only person? If that is the case maybe I should stop talking about this. I have dealt with large amounts of LSD it has an aroma that I am familiar with. I have heard of people dying from over doses.

Of course you can OD on acid. Don’t you guys watch Dragnet?

No but something I know about Chicago is that a lot rich old white women buy a lot acid.

BTW, pure LSD is a colorless, odorless, tasteless solid.

But that’s exactly what started the discussion here. There are no reports of people dying of LSD (by mouth. There’s one or two that shot it up like heroin, and they died; even those stories are kind of fuzzy on the reliability scale.) That’s why we’re sounding like we don’t believe you. Because it’s literally not been reported by a person who had any evidence to back their story up.

Damn, I’m not rich. I’ll have to work on that.

And there’s that, too. I forgot about that. So we can be confident that something that smelled sweet, or of lye, was definitely not pure LSD. It was mixed with something. The question is, what was that something, and what is that something(s)'s LD50? 'Cause I’m going to bet it’s less than that of LSD, and may have contributed to his heart stopping.

You can smell it? Jesus, what’s your guy cutting it with, since fumes off 80 mikes of acid is (calculating) barely enough for a cocker spaniel to smell. You need a new dealer because I think this one is trying to kill you.

It sounds like he’s succeeding.

I, literally, have no idea what you’re taking about. Besides, I didn’t say your friend didn’t take it, I said he didn’t OD on it.

But when your entire premise in your thread is based off said experience, and we don’t believe you, and you do nothing to try to make your point beyond that, there’s no thread.

Contrary to the pop-culture zeitgeist, comparisons that make you look like Walter White are not good things.

EDIT:

LSD is odorless. Whatever you’re smelling isn’t LSD.
