Additionally, I believe the “audience of one” ads are being put into the local ad slots through the cable providers. I don’t think that FOXNews national has the ability to dictate what gets sold in the few ads per hour that Cox (or whoever) sells to the local car dealerships or political campaigns.
The cable companies serving the White House and Mar A Lago are known, and are more than willing to take The Lincoln Project’s money.
While I have been enjoying the Lincoln Project ads, I am not sure what to think of them as a group. They have collected a lot of money from nominal Democrats and they are NOT airing any ads in battleground states. No ads in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Arizona, or Florida. What’s the point? Is it all sound and fury?

Today (July 24) Lincoln Project has not one but TWO new videos (about 1:15 each) about Trump and his new-found love for Ghislaine Maxwell. (Which, BTW, they pronounce Jee-Lane.)
What’s your source on the ‘no ads in PA, OH, WI, AZ or FL’ claim?
In the first one, I definitely hear Gee-Lane. The second one kind of sounds like Gee-Lane, but I wouldn’t swear to it.
Holy crap, this new ad is six and a half minutes long. Know that going in. It’s almost a little movie, where a Trumpist family visits a hospital today to see their son who has emerged from a 3-1/2 year coma. He asks if he’s missed anything, and they fill him in Trumpist style.
“This guy was in a coma…what’s your excuse?”

I listened to a podcast yesterday - WNYC Studios “On The Media”; The Lincoln Party is Sorry About All That".
They make the case (as have many others such as Colbert, which I didn’t know about, as I haven’t been paying much attention) that the Lincoln Project seems to be almost ONLY for annoying Trump. They rarely run any ads in any swing states, where it could make a difference. That is what really matters if they want to get trump out of office, and they’re not doing it. They’re almost exclusively running ads in areas where he’s already going to lose.
They take in enormous amounts of money, much of which is from Democrats. While they hate trump, they’re still a Republican fundraiser.

The problem with the “Wake Up” video is that it presumes that Trump supporters’ views are grounded in reality. The Trump supporters I know live in a whole different world where Trump is a great president who saved America from the destruction Obama wrought upon it and who is showing the rest of the world who’s boss, and they will not acknowledge any evidence to the contrary.
