The Lone Ranger goes Pokeman

I’m watching season 5, episode 11 and the guys help a woman who has been thrown from her horse. She recovers just fine but needs to get to Fort Pikachu !

There was a Fort Pickawillany.

Probably refers to Picacho Peak, about 50 miles from Tucson. Mr. Google tells me there was a Civil War battle there, but there was no Fort Picacho. There was however a mail stop there, so there was some sort of settlement.

There’s a state park there now.

The town of Picacho, AZ isn’t all that far from the Peak. Wikipedia says it’s a small town with a population of 250 but doesn’t give any history for it.

Pokeman aside, the name Picacho means Peak in Spanish, so Picacho Peak literally translates to Peak Peak.

Nitpick but it’s Pokémon. Short for Pocket Monsters and I’ve never, ever, played any of the games.

The box indeed says “Pocket Monsters”, and that’s all it says:

You would have to actually play the game to know if anybody calls them Pokemen or Pokemon or… :stuck_out_tongue:

Pokeman sounds like a chef who specializes in traditional Southern foods.

Pokémon is the highest grossing media franchise of all time. I wonder if they should try to cash in on that.
