The lost art of Letter Writing - for your MMP consideration

Very cute, Haze!

FCM, just how many loads of laundry do you do each week, anyway? :smiley: (It seems like tons!)

Oh, I grock that well enough, haze, I’m just wanting to hand sean a shovel and see what he does with it. :wink:

Ahhh… :smiley: Well, never mind me then. Carry on.

If I did them all on one day, maybe 6 or 7. But if I spread them out all week, maybe 1 or 2 every few days. And bear in mind that sometimes when I say I’m gonna do some, I don’t. Yep, I’m a woman of mystery that way. :wink:

I am still working on the presentation from hell!

The nice and easy template requires data out the ass which would be easy if the spreadsheets were already built…but they are not. My predecessor didn’t track any of the data so I am having to build sheets for 3 years worth. Gah!

And it was cold in my house last night - got down to 46 degrees outside and my thermometer said 61 in the house. Brrrrrrrrr! Everyone at work is leanding me space heaters :smiley:

Anyways Happy Birthday to meeks & Noone!

Happy birthday meeks and Special1!!

I’m like that too. I always worry about it ahead of time. Then at least you’re prepared for the worst just in case and usually pleasantly surprised when the review goes well and your boss doesn’t tell you that you had bad breath. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks to everyone who commiserated with me yesterday. I’m still trying to get it cleaned up today, but at least I know how to do that!

61’s cold as an indoor temperature? We set our thermostat to 60 for overnight and while we’re at work. Just means you have to snuggle a little closer at night. :wink:

Some coworkers just came over to speculate on whether my boss and his girlfriend, who also works here, have broken up. Their love life has been a hot topic of gossip for a while because they kept their relationship quiet for quite a while except they really weren’t very good at hiding things. So everyone knew but pretended not to know. And it made for good gossip. But now it looks like they might have broken up. It has got to suck to have to work with your ex.

Ooh, we have an ice storm prediction for Chicago tomorrow. I love storms. When I’m inside, anyway.

*Happy Birthday, 'Mika and Special1!*

Argh. I hate writing cover letters. Hate. HATE.

Note to Meeks: Almost anybody else, having to share my birthday with them would irritate me a bit. But I’m honored to share mine with you :slight_smile:
~~~ Happy Birthday, Meeks!! ~~**
You, OTOH might be slightly annoyed… :dubious:
Haze, I say take the cat to those two guys who came over with the weed yesterday; hand them the cat; tell them you’re returning the weed and want a refund… :smiley:
And the pictures… you’re lovely as always :slight_smile:
Men and women, IN GENERAL, look at things differently. A guy will accept the shortcomings of friends, and just carry on with things without getting too involved in the other guy’s personal life. Women, I have seen, will discover one character flaw of their friend and let that wipe out the whole friendship because of it.
And, I was looking for dark green paint for the outside shutters, and she wanted spring bough, or something similarly named.
I don’t think there’s any need for a shovel here, mostly because I was trying to make a funny social comment about how different men and women are.
Have a good weekend, y’all.
Cute dress, Haze! You look good in just about anything, though. It’s because of the basic raw material you have to work with. (Doubt me? Just ask any of the guys, whose tongues hit the floor whenever you post a photo!) But naughty cat!
Poor Papa Tigs. He just called me. From work. Where he’s been for 11 hours now, and has at least two more hours before he can get away. At least there’s a dining hall there so he can go eat good (and cheap!) meals. When he has a chance to, that is. Sometimes I’m tempted to call the various colonels and remind them that he is a diabetic and he has to eat. I’ve finally got him trained to the point where he tries to, but his schedule can be horribly unforgiving. :frowning:
And of course my nice work-free weekend just disappeared. MORE rush work. That I’m one of only three people with the software to handle. Grr. Sometimes I really regret getting that stupid software. :frowning:
Anyway, back to the salt mines. Isn’t it a fun Firday? :rolleyes:
10 more minutes til I’m outtahere!
See, I thought you might have misunderstood me. My point was that getting involved in that type of situation could backfire on mbg. It certainly wasn’t meant to indicate he should dump his buddy. Please, nobody is perfect and we all have made dumb and destructive relationship decisions. But I’ve also seen friends get hit by crossfire in their attempts to be supportive. That’s all.
And the “shovel” bit was “my” attempt at being funny.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPECIAL ONE AND MEEKS!!!
Woo hoo, TGIF too!!! No real plans for the weekend; I’ve got grocery shopping to do and that’s about it. I’m doing a bit of cyber windowshopping too but can’t make any purchases just yet. Whew, glad that we seem to have a bit more time before the Christmas holiday this year.
And wooo Haze how - you - doin’ ? :slight_smile: :slight_smile: (LOL - sorry you do look so cute, though, seriously. And that dress looks very nice on you even if you didn’t show us how short it is!!! :stuck_out_tongue:
Off to get dinner - well, the gyro my daughter picked up for me today from my favorite Greek deli - YUM! And then on to watch Las Vegas later tonight. Hmmm… speaking of which, let’s hope that BooFae will have plenty of stories to share when she returns from the -real- Vegas. :wink:
Needs more cleavage, dear.
**WOO HOO!!! **
The banner ads are gone (at least for now) !!!
So, my tenant is moving to Baltimore . . . this weekend. I’m glad he gave me two months security because I’ll keep one in lieu of a proper 30 day notice, and form the other I’ll deduct the cleaning bill - but I just had a look around and really all it’s going to need is a vacuuming and a dusting and maybe a little spackle on the picture hook holes - c’est tout! I’ll miss my tenant.
Evening all!
Happy birthday to our special Mumpers! I took off from work an hour early to pick up my daughter’s prescription. It’s a good thing I did, traffic was horrendous.
Soooo, they’re still talking about the “S” word around here. They’re predicting some accumulation of it. However, whatever accumulates is supposed to be wiped out by a big rain and wind storm. They always hype up a “snow event” around here, and usually it just fizzles out.
I have laundry and cooking to do. I may wait on the laundry until tomorrow. Tonight’s dinner will include rib-eye steaks. I haven’t thought about the sides yet.
Happy Friday all!
So, my car is all packed and I’m ready for the bazaar tomorrow. I hope I sell lots so I don’t have to haul all this crap back again! :smiley:
If I can get FCD’s buns out of bed early enough, we can go to Linda’s Cafe for breakfast before heading to the church to set up. He’s going to help me take my stuff in, then he’s leaving. I’m glad it’s a fairly short event - 4 hours, plus setup and teardown. As long as it’s busy, the time should fly. We shall see.
Meanwhile, I need to get clean sheets on the bed and get the blanket set to warm said sheets. Yet another glimpse of the excitement that is my life - this I offer you. :wink:
we’re supposed to get some of the stuff that has four letters and starts with s too this weekend - maybe even the five letter s word as well. blech. Is it spring yet?
Er, it’s for work. :stuck_out_tongue: Don’t want to distract my student, yanno.
