Anyone following what they are doing with Lost in the off season? I know there is a bunch of new content on the web but I haven’t been paying attention. The only thing I have seen are the anti-Hanso ads in *Entertainment Weekly * the last couple of weeks. Some interesting tidbits in them. Anyone keeping up with everything?
Jigsaw puzzles!
No, really!
Yeah, I saw those the other day.
Anyone solved them? What, if anything, do they reveal?

(Og help me, I thought it was going to be a thread about the background actors from *Lost *and what work they’ve found this summer. “That Doper is one devoted *Lost *fan,” I thought.)
And yet I clicked anyway…perhaps that says more about me…
Yesterday at lunch, I hijacked a conversation w/ a klatch of office girls and IT guys talking about Lost, and held forth for a while on the obsessive subtextual details, mostly 17th century political philosophy and esoteric Buddhism.
I’m afraid I geeked out a bit, but it was so much fun to leave a couple non-Doper type Losties completely gobsmacked.
(I think I redeemed myself with them slightly with the final observation, “…and of course, they’re all so frickin’ hawt!”)
This is the only show that I’ll watch when the new season starts up – but I haven’t felt moved to look at the web content. I’m afraid it’ll be like the official “fanfic” stuff they put out during its broadcast run – blah.
I hope someone who’s bothered with it will pop in to say some of it is fantasticly interesting.
Jigsaw puzzles, eh? Heh.
Check out http://www.thelostexperience.com and find the “Date Archive” on the right (scroll down). Start with the oldest date and work you way up.
The “Lost Experience” summer web game takes a lot of work and there’s some people (a lot of people) who are doing all of the work and figuring everything out. I like to let them figure stuff out then check up periodically to see what they’ve found
The story so far is sort of…
Someone named Persephone was hacking the hansofoundation.org web site, spreading secrets about the Hanso Foundation.
Persephone turns out to be this girl named Rachel Blake who is travelling around Europe looking for Alvar Hanso, and posting videos to the web of her experiences.
All of a sudden she’s really “close” to…something (I am not sure what) and now she has some video that’ll blow our minds. Only it has to stay SECRET so she split it up into 75 pieces and put on some Web site. In order to retrieve a piece you need to find a glyph with a number/letter code on it and enter the code into this Web site. The glyphs come out at random times in random locations…like on the wristband of Daniel Dae Kim at Comicon!!! Totally obscure but people are finding them.
Anyway when you get the video clips you store them on this Flash site and you have to piece them all together. So far there’s like 50 glyphs that have been found.
It’s totally confusing…read The Lost Experience and you should get up to speed.
