Okay, hold on just a second. I’m not a big fan of the show, but during my channel surfing yesterday I ran across an advertisement on MTV for the Lost “Real World” Season. Apparently something went wrong, or “Scray wrong” as they put it, and the the show had to be cancelled. I have to admit this intrigued me, and I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what made them terminate this season. All MTV will say is “Due to circumstances beyond our control this season had to be terminated”. I’ve heard rumors flying about that a reject cast member actually kidnapped one of the actual cast members. If you read that last setence then you’ve forced me to sadly admit yes I have been researching this today. If anyone knows anything please speak up.
I haven’t been paying close attention, but my impression from the ads I saw was that it was going to be a parody of the actual show - all scripted and acted out, instead of being a reality-type show. But I’m not sure by any means.
I don’t watch MTV, but I happened to read a newspaper review of this show just yesterday.
It’s all a fake.
This should not be surprising – if there really had been some “Real World” disaster, would MTV have been able to keep is a secret? And would they then go on to attempt to turn a profit by releasing footage of said disaster? Okay, well, I wouldn’t put it past them to try the latter, but the former is beyond belief.
It’s actually a TV movie.
It’s a Real World parody TV movie. Completely scripted, as I’m sure we’ll be able to tell from the ahem… acting. I can see it potentially being kind of funny. Maybe they’ll take the opportunity to make fun of all the losers they’ve had on the show in recent years.
Or, more likely, it will suck.
I just happened to hear on commercial on the radio today and there were sound bites of some of the cast members. One of the girls was crying and said “I knew that I’d be opened up to a whole bunch of new experiences. I didn’t know one of those experiences would be death.”
BS or not i have no idea. Thats what I heard on radio.
