The "Make Fun of Herman Cain" Thread

I don’t think so. If, as you want to assert, Republicans/conservatives hate Obama because he’s Black, then why do they not hate all Blacks? Why don’t they hate Herman Cain or Allen West? Aren’t they Black? Rhetorical question, of course. As they are Black, then why don’t they get the hate you’d expect them to get if Republicans/conservatives hated them based on their race?

You know, you’re not making any case for yourself nor a lick of sense. I’m, like, 99.999% sure that Bush was vilified more than anyone whilst holding office, including Obama. He was portrayed as a monkey, a terrorist and a boob, among other caricatures, and those who were against Bush paraded around signs with crude language, including my personal favorite “Bush’s mother should have aborted him”. Of course, I’m sure most of that stuff gets a free pass from the Democrat/liberal leaning crowd seeing as how (1) it was Bush and (2) he was White.

But half of that stuff directed towards a Black guy? Well, then that MUST be racism. Unless, of course, that Black guy happens to be a Republican/conservative, then you don’t hear much of anything from the Democrat/liberal leaning crowd.

It is a misspelling, since apparently it’s “aisle” and not “isle”.

Of course not. You just said I hate gay people.

Speaking of dumb as a box of rocks:

So how many?
[/QUOTE]
‘Anything’ = not nothing.

Since examples usually come in integer quantities, that would translate to “at least one” for the mentally handicapped. Regardless of which isle you dare to live on - and I’m guessing the Isle of Wasted Neurons.

Michele Bachmann, ahead of the curve, as always:

No points will be awarded for enjoying Stepin Fetchit.

I didn’t say it was nothing. I asked for an actual number.

No idea who that is. Should I?

Only if you want to be considered informed about the history of racism in America.

That’s freakin’ wonderful.

I mean, when Cain came out with his 9-9-9 plan, I’m sure I was far from the only one who noticed right off that it was 180° away from 6-6-6, but I didn’t think it was even worth a throwaway joke on my favorite message board. Great to see that someone running for President of the United States goes there semi-seriously.

There are many reasons. If you want to discuss it go back to these threads

On the other hand, to claim that there wasn’t any racism against Obama from the right is to be totally blind and I am still waiting for your evidence of Liberal Racism against Cain.

I love them too…

(Well, isn’t posting in the pit a waste of neurons by definition?)

Trinopus (hey, I was using that neuron!)

I guess thinking Bush started 2 wars without funding and slashing taxes for the rich at the same time was terrible economic and moral policy. I guess I must hate him for being white instead of a disaster in office.
We always hope a president will do a good job. We don’t seek a disaster for political gain. But the Repubs made it clear their most important job is to make Obama a one term president. They have stonewalled every move he makes.
Yes. I have lost respect for the Repubs.

You laugh, but wait until 2016 when the Democrats nominate Papa John.

Just wait until you hear my “$5 foot long” plan for fixing the economy…

I think we are a little premature here. After all, Cain hasn’t actually been nominated for anything. All he is so far is a spoiler.

Let’s see if how does in a primary test.

I think he’s lamo because he takes advantage of being Black to wear a hat, which would kill a White guy’s campaign, but it’s a White guy hat.

Why are conservatives so bad at attempts at satire and parody? It’s kind of weird.

The whole “liberals think all opposition to Obama is racism!” is such a retarded straw man that I don’t know how anyone can say it with a straight face.

Republicans would hate the democratic president no matter who it was. There are plenty of people who oppose Obama who aren’t at all racist.

But take a look at it from the opposite direction - are we so free of racism that we assume that none of the opposition to Obama - that some degree of the level of hatred from some people is amplified for that reason? That idea is even more absurd.

Anyway, here’s how it usually goes:

“Why is it that the republicans are so over the top with their hatred of Obama? Why do so many people believe that he’s a secret muslim communist sleeper cell agent?”

“Well, the common theme there is that people really want to paint him as an outsider, as not one of us. Can you read between the lines?”

“Oh, so all opposition to Obama is racist, eh? If I don’t like his policies, I must be a racist?” And then from then on the person will say “liberals think anyone who opposes Obama must be a racist!”, a charactured position that it’s hard to imagine they’re stupid enough to actually believe, but they sure seem to.

Republicans would hate Obama anyway. There are racists who are even more angry than they would otherwise be because he’s black. That does not mean that all opposition to him is racist - again, that would imply that all republicans would just be fine with him if he were white, which is absurd. It is equally absurd to assume there’s no racism involved with the over the top demonification and opposition to Obama.

No one on this board that I’ve seen seriously advocates the position “all people who oppose Obama’s policies are racist”, which you say is everywhere all over the boards. Please, go ahead and point it out. People may have said “racists clearly are unhappy about Obama”, or “some of the nuttier opposition to Obama is based on racism”, but that’s not at all the same thing, it’s only a subset. Do you understand this?

I know you guys hate nuance, even when it’s obvious and simple, and prefer to just stick with retarded shit like “liberals think anyone who opposes Obama is a racist!”, but you seem childish and really fucking stupid when you stick to that.

Aren’t you a bit young to be a Army Medic?

Herman Cain; the poor man’s Colin Powell.

He’s a regular Doogie Howitzer.
