I am so ashamed of myself. I let the “all-Taliban, all the time” news coverage flow over me, and didn’t think to look for unrelated stories, so I didn’t notice until last night that Isaac Stern had died.
No real comment to make; he had a life, and his death wasn’t tragic, merely inevitable. However, I’m tearing myself away from WTC grief to mourn an individual.
