If some jerk wants to call him a commie and say good riddance, let him. The referenced board is of no consequence. All the really good posters are here, right?

Add me to the “so, what’s the big deal?” list. I only saw the one idiot spouting off, and someone else came by and roundly thrashed him. Certainly nothing to get all worked up over. And this from a fairly hot-tempered person.
I really don’t see a big deal. And, despite the fact that i liked Gragory Peck as an an actor, i wouldn’t think it was that big a deal if every person on that Free Republic site were slagging him off. For the same reason i don’t care very much about what Fred Phelps and his idiotic cronies say about people like Matthew Shepard or Mr. Rogers.
It’s a free country, they have a right to say what they want.
Just about every famous person that dies brings out someone or other who will use the occasion as an opportunity for some abuse or criticism. Who cares? Not me.
Actually, looking at this the day after, I’m a bit embarassed. I must admit, I was googling for Peck right after watching the tribute on Larry King, and I suppose I just got all fired up.
