Yay! More:
Red and Black from les Mis
“Red, the color of the goo
Black, the leather that we wear”
etc.
I think “I don’t know how to love him” from Jesus Christ Superstar could work as a song for Trinity.

Music of the Fight - Immediately after **Yumblie’s ** number. To the music of Phantom’s “Music of the Night”
MORPHEUS -
Matrix sharpens
heightens each sensation
Construct stirs
and wakes imagination
Silently Tank senses
to program your defenses…
Turn your face away
from the Matrix- it betrays
turn your thoughts away from
cold unfeeling might
and help me take them on with one good fight
Clear your mind
start a journey to a strange new world
leave all thoughts of the life you knew before
clear your mind, let your body start to soar
and you live as you’ve never lived before…
Gasping, falling
you think that’s air you’re breathing?
Come on, try it
see if you can beat me
Let the mind give in -
let the kung fu fight begin
Come on and hit me ,
I know you can - just tryyyyy
and help me take them on with one good fight
help me take them on with one good fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
“I am the model of a modern matrix operative” by Morpheus:
MORPHEUS:
I am the model of a modern matrix operative,
I know information martial artsy, subversive and superlative
I know the whichness of the why, and the philosophy of the relative
About Plato and Gibson, I’ve certainly got a lot to give
I’m very well acquainted, too, with matters multiplicative
Like how wearing lots of black and shades will make me look more ass-kick-a-tive
I’ve got more knowledge of gothy wear in my pockets,
Than all these idiots around me dressing like rejects from Sprockets.
ALL:
Than all these idiots around me dressing like rejects from Sprockets.
Than all these idiots around me dressing like rejects from Sprockets.
Than all these idiots around me dressing like rejects from Sprockets.
::claps::
Briliant! Bravo!
Thanks folks! I knew I asked the right group of people this question. Keep 'em coming.
More Gilbert and Sullivan!
“Captain of the Good Guys’ Boat” (Captain of the Pinafore, H.M.S. Pinafore)
Morpheus: My gallant crew, good morning!
All: Sir, good morning!
M: I hope you’re all quite well.
All: Quite well, and you sir?
M: I am in reasonable health and happy
To meet you all once more
All: You do us proud, sir
(song)
M: I am the Captain of the Good Guys’ boat!
All: And a right good captain, too!
M: You’re very, very good, and be it understood, I command a right good crew!
All: We’re very very good, and be it understood, he commands a right good crew
M: Though we’re flying through the air,
We don’t have a care,
About any evil machines
I’m never one to quail
Before a robo-whale
And I’ll make Smith clean the latrines!
…
You get the idea.
And I’d like to include “With Cat-Like Tread, Upon Our Prey We Steal” somehow. Hmm.
Yet even more Gilbert and Sullivan
“The Matrix is the true embodiment” by Agent Smith
Smith:
The Matrix is the true embodiment
of everything that’s excellent.
It has no kind of fault or flaw,
And I, my bulbs, embody it all.
The coded guardian am I
of desperate young bugs in battery,
All despical vermin–and none
A match for my pummeling fists and gun.
A vexing occupation for
An unusually independent operator!
All:
A vexing occupation for
An unusually independent operator!
etc
Can’t have a musical without Rodgers and Hammerstein
Where’s the Rodgers and Hammerstein!?!?
And when we saaaaaay,
“Yeeow! A-yip-io-eeay!”
We’re sayin’ “You’re doin’ fine Nebuchadnezzar!”
Nebuchadnezzar, N-E-B-U-C-H-A-D-N-E-Z-Z-A-R, Nebuchadnezzar!
Wahoo!
Hmm… the Agents are kinda Nazi-like… You could do The Sound of The Matrix…
“The vats are alive, with the sound of the Matrix
With brains they have bugged, for a thousand yeaaars…”
“I am 16K, going on 32, I know that I’m naive…”
“When the power spikes,
When the alarm dings,
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite pings
And then I don’t feel so bad!”
Not to burst anyone’s bubble here, but the Musical version of the Matrix was done last year at Improv Olympic here in Chicago. I believe it was just called “NEO”. You may want to contact them and see if you can get a script.
Yea, but ours is way better.
Well, I’m just saying if you wanted to perform all of these songs on a stage, the high school would have to pay rights for ALL of them to ASCAP. It may be easier just to ask for the NEO script.
clap clap clap
Ok, I just about died laughing. Thank you.
