The May Day Mystery... wha?

More than 20 years ago, someone started publishing thoroughly strange ads in a newspaper. As time progressed, the ads sprouted regularly, not only on the May 1st date. Enter the Internet, stage right. Someone who noticed the oddity started to collect the ads and put up a web site about them, with the hopeless hope to figure out what the hell is this about. Years pass, and the small legions of intrepid net adventurers are no much closer than before, except for knowing that someone out there has a lot of money, time, and knowledge, to spare on the ads and all their accompanying paraphernalia.

Go visit the madness and see if you have something to add, preferably not the usual “you’re all nuts”. We already know we are.

Hmmmmm, a brand spankin’ newbie spamming for a website but it looks like something that’s right up this bunch’s alley. The first message is in Chinese and one of the interpreters mentions immortality, but I haven’t found any mention of Alex Chiu yet.

I guess I wait for more data before I turn him in.

Ah well, I have no affiliation with the site (not that it even makes sense to talk about being affiliated with it, as it is akin to a homepage dedicated to a puzzle, if you wish).

Just thought, as you said, that you guys might enjoy it. And who knows, if the whole thing is not just a raving postmodern graphic designer fit of lunacy, your fresh ideas might not hurt.

Stop fuckin’ around Jestocost and tell me…

Do you want breakfast at Tiffanys or not? And don’t tell me you “remember the film”!
