If they don’t introduce a new dark back story I’m quite pleased with the turn. But it is looking increasingly like this could be the last season so it may not much matter.
Yeah, I laughed out loud, even the second time I saw it, and I rarely laugh out loud. I think Wiley is a good addition to the team, and it’ll be fun to see how Jane educates him, and gets Kim to loosen up.
i was very pleased that the ‘other members’ of the blake association was a ruse - I had momentary fears of a return to the burn notice syndrome.
I notice that Jane was somewhat happier. He smiled and laughed a lot more now that the Red John burden is off his shoulders.
I think this happiness will last until the last episode…when Jane is killed by Red John’s “nun”.
So are you guys basing this on the fact that you’ve seen nothing on that show that’s bringing them into the fold; or have you seen seen something that officially says they’re off the show? Van Pelt is too hot not to be on the show.
The writers could just be waiting to work them back in at a later time. Oh, and I agree with peedin, I like the interaction between Cho and Rigsby (but otherwise never felt like Rigsby brought much to the show).
[Ptolemy] I fail to see your point. [/Ptolemy]
Both Owain Yeoman (Rigsby) and Amanda Righetti (Van Pelt) have said they’re off the show.
Rigsby and Van Pelt aren’t gone yet, I’m sure there will be a farewell episode where they get pregnant and quit and move to Canada or something.
Oh wow. I didn’t know that. Too bad. ![]()
when they showed up to visit Lisbon - they mentioned that they had a newborn - so that part is already happened - I think that was the farewell episode.
Hmm. You’re right! I must have blinked when I first watched it. They have a Digital Surveillance Company now. I guess they’re gone. A bit of a weak way to go, though.
I don’t know. Sometime, characters are allowed to just live happily ever after.
Up until the last episode of the RJ story, I was holding out hope that RJ would kill Rigsby and that would send Van Pelt into a tailspin and that was how they would get written off (I knew the actors were out).
I kinda kept hoping we’d see van pelts shoulder with a single dot.
I assume you’re talking about the 3 dot tattoo that the minions of Red John have. That would have been pretty cool twist. They were a big enough part of the show to deserve some kind of epic send off.
As for their final show, the stories I read say from November when it was revealed they were leaving said their last shows would be in December. One story had Yeomen saying they consult with the FBI as part of their security company. So many there is one more, not sure if Mentalist is done for the December yet.
