A reliable source has informed me that the “hat” used for a banning is a simple square of black cloth.
Oh.
Hey, I’m sorry !!
I thought you were being your usual sublimely clever self.
I also thought you were referring to a Mod Watch
If I am wearing headgear while moderating/adminstrating, it’s a bandanna, folding into a strip and worn as a headband, to keep my hair out of my face. Sometimes I pull my hair back in a ponytail.
My hair, for those who MUST know, is naturally dark brown and white. I get it dyed, though, and so it’s now usually a very dark reddish brown.
My usual moderating costume is a pair of glasses, a pair of sandals, and a pair of panties. I don’t wear anything else in the house unless I’m cold, or unless there is someone other than my husband and/or daughter in the house.

I hope that, when the postman rings, you’ll wear a hat like this though.
Oddly enough, I find it very comfortable to sit online only in my Tightie Maroonies. I only do it when travelling and alone in the hotel/motel room.
I always pictured the Mod Hat as a bright orange construction helmet with MOD painted on the front in black.
My Mod Hat though? That sucker gets to be the black Fedora of Moddy Death.
