Just when everyone was beginning to behave very nicely, even Paul, Paul gets eliminated.
I can’t say I’m sorry; until this week the little shmuck was a complete SOB. But tonight he was a stand-up guy, and played well and was almost a gentleman. Now I’m out of suspects. I’d like to see each of them win for a reason. I can see each of them as the Mole for a reason. Each of them has screwed up in a seemingly implausible way, but I can see myself screwing up in that same way without intent. Each has pulled off stuff that I can’t see myself having pulled off. I like all three of the remaining players. So the last episode will be pure sit back and relax for me, since I honestly though Paul was the Mole, and if he wasn’t, all I wanted was for him not to win.
BTW, next season we have, let’s have one thread for the entire season.
Anyway, I am glad Paul is gone. I know he’s probably an OK guy, but he acted like such a jerk, I’m glad he gets nothing.
Sigh. I guess Craig is The Mole.
If it’s Mark, I’m disappointed, as he really seems to be playing the game. I want it to be Nicole or Craig, though if it is Nicole, it does not say much for women in this game(all gone early but her).
Hey, let’s make this the final prediction thread too. Who is the Mole? Who is the winner?
The reason I want a single thread is that most of us who are interested in the beginning continue to be interested all the way through. I’d rather not have to hunt for a thread every week and finally start a new one if I can’t find a previous week’s one. If I’m subscribed to a single thread, I don’t have to hunt.
I’m not so sure Paul is an OK guy IRL. Frankly I don’t think I’d particularly care for him - he’s shrewd but uneducated, a bantam cock personality, who takes pleasure in being abrasive. I’d probably like the remaining three, so I have no idea whatsoever who is the Mole or who I want to win or who is the Mole. I guess I’ve kind of wanted Mark to win from the start, but I’ve also kind of suspected Mark since the take-off-your-clothes episode, so he’s a toss-up. I identify with both Craig and Nicole, because he’s heavy and so am I (although not as much as Craig), and she’s female and so am I (although not nearly as young or pretty as Nicole), so they’re both toss-ups. Both the Mole and the winner are winners, you see.
I wonder how much the Mole makes. It’s a hard damned job, so it can’t be cheap!
I’d like it to turn out the opposite way because I’ve predicted Mark since the beginning and I really don’t want Nicole to be the Mole or to win. But your way would be an acceptable alternative, and since Mark has been very un-Mole-like in the last few eps, that’s the way I’m betting at the moment.
Just don’t forget that if it turns out to be Mark, I called it from ep #1!
They were all pretty unMolelike tonight. I truly think everyone was trying hard tonight. As chance would have it, Nicole would have been the better choice with the goggles, but since they didn’t know what the task would be in advance, that’s simply no one’s fault. Everyone seemed to be trying really hard. I have vertigo bad enough to keep me from working; I think I would not even have tried that task.
Fifty-three seconds was an incredibly good time for that word puzzle under pressure, and Mark shot super-well for someone who had never shot paint-ball before. Paul did a great job at evading, but both Nicole and Craig evaded longer than I would have expected.
Tonight’s was a very entertaining episode, but other than eliminating Paul, it did bupkis as far as I was concerned in terms of narrowing the field of potential Moles. Everyone seemed to be trying as hard as they could.
Mark is trying too hard at challenges to actually be the mole. Nicole is trying too hard at being the mole to actually be the mole. My guess is Mark for the win but I wouldn’t count Nicole out. She’s shrewd.
Honestly, if Mark turns out to be the Mole, I’ll actually be pissed off. He’s the only one who has clearly been trying to win in every task(except that stupid beach one).
If it’s him, then it’s pointless even trying to guess.
It’s Nic-mole. She was shaking the camera on purpose to throw off Craig. Mark will win it because he wants it more than Craig. If there’s any physical component to the last challenge that requires any kind of endurance, then Mark will surely win.
You know, I’ve said it every week in the Dope from week 1 and I want that on the record . . . it’s Craig!
Again he ALMOST succeeds. No mole-like behavior? You’re joking right?
He was two feet from the finish line on the board when time ran out. 1/3 cups filled with the other 2/3 spilled? Trying to get Nicole to talk (ooops)? He is brilliant in his incompetency.
I hope Mark wins.
Well, what I think we can all agree on is that this show has provided great entertainment value with remarkably little “show-biz” bs. This final episode is one I’m simply going to lean back and relax through, confident in the knowledge that I flat out don’t have a clue.
