Well, in fairness, Groundhog Day was a very funny movie. On further thought, I didn’t include his repeated verbatim denial, which was “get the **** outta here. Naaaaaaaaah. Not me, dude.” which is sorta funny in itself even though accidents are not.
Physician humor, like pilot humor, includes making light of situations that are anything but. Nothing wrong with that although as you’ve done, sometimes we need to include disclaimers so folks from other less gallows-humorish backgrounds don’t misunderstand or get offended.
Had I been there with you I know I’d have laughed.

If folks get hurt or killed in your business routinely, or you clean up other folks hurtin’ and killin’, you develop a different point of view than the easy one the normies can get away with.
