And interesting to boot. It’s about household cleaning supplies. My wife purchased today the greatest cleaning item in the history of dirt. “Mr Clean’s Magic Eraser” is exactly that: it works like magic! It looks like a man-made sponge kind of thing, you get it wet, squeeze out the excess water and you just wipe (and maybe scrub a little). Crayon on the wall? Gone! Grime in the bathroom? Gone! Fingerprints around the doorknob or light switch? Gone! And most of the time it really is just a wipe or two. As it got used up, I found scrubbing was necessary, but it still works like a wonder. ~$2 for a box of two, both of which I used up today, but I cleaned stuff I don’t normally worry about since it was so easy.
Make your life easier, go buy some of these things.
Those things are great! I had crayon (and crayon stains left by GooGone) on the flat paint in my rental for a year, and the Magic Eraser got rid of all the untouched crayon and most of the stains. It’s freakin’ awesome!
NinetyWt, are you my gramma? I know about those classic cleaning methods. And this is new and costs more money, but did you see what foxymoron posted? The difference here is the ease and the speed in which these things work. Pencil and crayon marks come off with no effort and in a couple swipes.
I figured I’d get some grief for acting like a spokesman (which I’m not, of course). Irregardless (sic), you need to give them a try!
I have wanted to try these since I first saw the commercial, but I cannot find them! It is so frustrating, every week I check to see if the store stocks them yet but so far no luck.
A local news station does a “Try it before you buy it” feature and this was tried a while ago. The reporter did everything the product claimed and was amazed at how well it really worked, just like you. I couldn’t believe how easily crayon came off a wall - it really just wiped right off!
If this is really The Most Important Thread I’ll Read Today, then I’m off to a great start on a relentlessly insignificant day. Not what I’d call good news. Maybe I’ll just play pool and drink beer all day.
misstee & Velma, I got mine at a Major “Discount” Store. I’ve also seen them at other MDSs and a couple of national-chain supermarkets. They are in the cleaning aisle, not with the regular sponges but alongside the cleaning products (anti-bacterial wipes and the like).
Since we’re talking about cleaning stuff, and because of the dogs I am always cleaning stuff, what do you folks find is the best stuff for cleaning floors? I like to use something that smells good (or better than dog anyway).
Magayuk, I always clean my floors with Pine-Sol. Not a generic thereof, as the generic is really not nearly as good, but the real thing. I just pour about a half-cup of Pine-Sol in my sink (stopper in, of course), and put about 6" of hot, hot water in the sink. I just dip the mop in the sink, and go from there. Easier than a bucket, and then the sink is really easy to clean, too!
DaddyTimesTwo, I’ve been wanting to try these, but so often the commercials are so much hype. Glad you weighed in to tell me they’re worth the bucks! Thanks!
These things are awsome! My husband made fun of me because I was so excited about these. I went through my first two because I too, cleaned up where I’d normally not worry for awhile.
Our friends have wee ones who like to put their hands all over my walls, white doors, everything in site. These little miracle sponges make washing the walls down a snap!
I’ve found them at Safeway and at Fred Meyer for those who were wondering where to find them.
