The Most Indecipherable Dopers.

In my line of work, we call what Dunmurray was doing, “pressured speech”.
It’s not usually a good thing.

Yeah. That’s why I gave him a :dubious:. An ISWYDT, if you will. The skeptical eye, watching.

I admire his writing. It might lend itself more towards long form media versus a thread post, but I suspect he was nominated for his blog re-posts, so that is understandable.

Hard to believe that Gigo would make such a list. I think that XT guy is pretty indecipherable, especially when he does his drunk poster bit. But I’d nominate Weisshund as one that, most of the time I can’t figure out what he’s getting at. I’ve noticed that Machinaforce can be pretty indecipherable as well.

Yeah I copped to it being a mistake. TBH, I can usually always follow Gigo’s posts, despite a bit of, at times, awkward language. It doesn’t impede understanding however. In hindsight I would have put Dropzone or usedtobe in that spot.

Ah, sorry…I didn’t see the follow on posts, just the OP. I’d definitely put usedtobe on the list, and Dropzone mainly because he’d probably love being on such a list. :stuck_out_tongue:

I am amazed that I’m making post #126 and no one has yet mentioned the fine work of Isilder.

For awhile I thought he was European and I gave him a lot of slack for ESL and a different cultural baseline and all the rest. The fact he usually posts in the wee hours US time further supported my assumption.

Eventually somewhere he said something that convinced me he was definitely a native-born US 'Merkin.

At which point understanding him got even harder. It’s an off-kilter explanation of a lot of off-kilter POVs.

Frankly I’d rather deal with Leo. Eventually we can piece together what he’s trying to say. And it’s much more likely to be worthwhile.

Olive you. Blather on all you like.

I didn’t make it to Blather Prince, even? I need to work on my delivery.

Equal parts non-sequitur, factual error, and incomprehensibility - but all with an air of supercilious confidence.

Now children, do not attribute your lack of understanding to the text.

I am still proud of my stream-of-consciousness thread about my first life-threatening event of the year.

Otherwise, I am the son of the “English teacher from Hell” mother…

As so often, we agree. But your version is much pithier & punchier than mine. Well done.

I will admit to being disappointed it took so long for my name to show up.

Mr C, I think I owe you beers. Tall-Boys, and not the cheap shit.

What about that recent guy, who streaked across the Doper sky like a stinky brown meteor!

He was coherent, just vacuous and one-note.

You really need to be more specific. We get lots of those.

You know, that guy who made some edgier than Bismuth posts. Join date June 2017. Certainly that rings a bell?

Oh, that one!

ETA:. Dozen?

I have to give props to DarwinsStepChildren who today created the most impressive wall of text (or as Darren Garrison called it, obelisk of text) ever. I’m too intimidated to read enough to even determine how intelligible it is.

Sure. There is a trade off between self proclaimed eloquence and accessibility. I had, at one point, taken your writing at face value, that you wanted people to understand you.
