If you look closely, Bossk is on Jabba’s barge in “Jedi”
The guy grumbling “Third Reich” in the crowd in The Sound of Music.
Similarly, the gusto with which the man in the crowd yells “Viva la France!” in Chariots of Fire has always stuck with me.
The busser at the restaurant in Men in Black who attempts to stop the bug from leaving the scene: “You’re not going anywhere, pal.” He is then casually swiped offscreen.
Wow didn’t realize that was him. (“now move slow, so I can count the hairs on your hand…”)
Is it Cheez-Whiz? I’d always assumed it was some sort of industrial adhesives/solvents/that sort of thing, and the cans he took off the production line before quitting were the ones he used to “treat” the police and Good Ol’ Boys vehicles before the show.
Sebastian Shaw has only 2 lines as the unmasked Darth Vader. And it’s his only scene, since Lucas replaced his head for Hayden Christensen’s at the end of the movie.
Star Wars is blessed/plagued by such characters.
Like the three eyed goon in Jabba’s palace whose only line was to whoop when the dancer or Luke were dropped into the rancor pit. He got his own toy and presumably all sorts of a back story in the expanded universe.
Agreed! That movie is cameo heaven.
Two liner: “Trouble?” The look on Jack Benny’s face after the Mother-In-Law shouts him down is classic!
No lines: The 3 Stooges as firemen. The implied comedy is awsome.
No screen time: The voice of Tracey’s wife. “What the hell is the ‘Smiler Grogan’ case?”
Another good one is the nurse in MASH who’se only line is, “How do you want your steaks cooked?”.
Is she a redhead?
I like redheaded City Slickers.
Two from The Right Stuff
The Angel of Death (he sings at the funeral services and notifies the widows)
The guy who pushes the big red button.
I don’t know if it’s the most memorable, but the pay-check lady at the metal works in Raising Arizona has always stuck with me.
She hands H.I. an obviously paltry pay check and cheerfully notes, “Gubmint do take a bite, don’t she?”
It’s more than one line, it’s a short scene, but the trailer park manager from No Country For Old Men is notable for facing down Anton Chigur.
Steve Buscemi had one or two roles in Coen Brother films where he said little to nothing, but seemed like someone you’d want to hear more from in the rest of the film.
Years ago a poster here said that his wife was the actress who played the little girl with blonde braids and the horrified look on her face in the frog scene in E.T. I don’t think she had any lines, but everyone in the thread could picture her exactly!
The woman with the white rabbit tattoo on her shoulder in “The Matrix”
The fat lady at the airport that turned out to be Arnold in drag in “Total Recall” - Get ready for a surprise!
In RoboCop, there was a weird TV game show running in the background in a number of scenes where the host would say I’d buy that for a dollar!"
