The Movie Game

Cool!! Murder by Death.

I can’t help it. I have a thing for really cheesy movies. I was warped as a child.

Cool, I can try (again) to play Sir Alec Guiness if no one beats me to the punch. BTW, was Eileen Brennan’s character in that always smoking and drinking? That’s how I remember it, but my memories are not always accurate.

Bridge On The River Kwai.
And now that marching tune is going to be in my head all day long. I’ll be whistling by the end of the day, just wait.

Eilleen Brennan spent MOST movies smoking and drinking. Just sayin.

Heee heee

Good to hear it’s not just me.

GFactor, Guiness got us to Bridge, so we can’t use him to get out of Kanchanburi*.

Let’s go with William Holden
*Kanchanburi is the Thai province where the famous bridge was located.

Sabrina

:smack:

Greg Kinnear.

Whoops, wrong version of the film…

Let’s go with Francis X. Bushman.

In honor of Halloween . . .

Basil Rathbone

(Have we had him?)

No, I don’t believe so. Hi, Roger. Nice to see you out of the Pit/GD. Stick around.

He was in a LOT of good movies. Captain Blood.
Anyone know if that was based on a true story? I’d heard a rumor, but never really found out one way or the other.

Errol Flynn

Another of my heroes, of course. Love the story of the filming of The Charge of the Light Brigade when some extra shouted an insult impugning the Aussie’s manhood, and Flynn promptly put his lights out. Died young, but I believe he made peace with God first.

The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex

Hey, if we all just adopted sixteenth-century-style English monarchy, we’d have a lot fewer political ads to deal with…

Bette Davis

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

Joan Crawford

I don’t believe we’ve played The Karate Killers yet, have we?

  • Shibb, who’s only disappointed he couldn’t nominate the Star Trek episode where she appears in a gelled shot each time she makes goo-goo eyes at Kirk while Spock works on his radio/transmitter in the basement.

That was a classic.

::salutes with stiff upper lip and empties contents of trousers on flowerbed::

Thanks for putting that song in my head. And thank Og that Steve McQueen’s not used yet in this round.
