I just want to shout her out for dressing to troll Trump. I did notice that she wore black to the impeachment vote, but I also noticed the pin that she has been wearing. Apparently it is a copy of the Mace of the Republic, the official staff of the HOR and it’s Speaker. It’s just another symbol that she is in charge. She knows exactly what she is doing.
I am pretty sure that Pelosi is a better politician than either of us. I doubt she conducted this impeachment to make a statement that would get stepped on by McConnell spiking the ball.
I don’t know what she has planned but I know this. She has every Republican congressman on record voting against impeachment despite a significant amount of evidence. I don’t know what she has in store but she is not in the habit of making meaningless gestures and pointless statements. I’m guessing around October of next year we will see what she has in her pocket.
So what’s the conspiracy theory here? She impeaches Trump and gets the senate to go along and remove him. Then she impeaches Pence and get the senate to go along with that too and remove him and then she get sworn in as president?
That sounds like paranoid delusion. But then again, anything can happen in politics these days.
As I’ve mentioned previously, one of my Facebook “friends” (and I use the term very loosely) is a raving Trumpian loony, which gives us some insight into the Mind of a Trumpette. .
Her postings this week have largely been memes on a common theme: Pelosi is a raging alcoholic.
Of course there’s no basis to this, just sharing as a “know your enemy” service. (Although there was one sound bite recently where she is slurring badly.)
Seems like this may be Republican projection about Rudy Giuliani.
I also found Trump’s comment about Pelosi “losing her teeth” the other day interesting since “people are saying” that some of Trump’s slurring of words may be due to loose dentures.

A barely-reported irony is that Pelisi simultaneously handed Trump a legislative victory (a new-and-improved NAFTA) at the same time that she helped impeach him. And by virtue of that, Nancy has effectively increased Donald Trump’s chances of winning re-election – she did the right thing of course, but this kind of flies in the face of being some kind of wicked witch or something.
Trump will wear this label for the rest of his life, no matter what happens in the Senate. Just like Bill Clinton does. Nancy kept this ball in play as long as she reasonably could, but even if Mitch holds a fifteen-minute “trial,” trump is branded. And oh, does it ever eat at him…
In one of Robert Heinlein’s books (I forget which one offhand) one of the characters was servant to a cat named Random Numbers. When asked about the origin of the name, the human replied that where most cats had a brain, this one had a bucket of random numbers — he would dash off in one direction until he ran into something, and the impact would scramble the random numbers causing him to dash off in a completely different direction with no regard to where he was going before.
The point (if any): my feline overlady has definite Random Numbers tendencies, and she shows far more consistency than the current infestation of the White House.
