We need to get out of this cycle: Republicans are in charge: nothing gets done because they don’t want anything to get done. Democrats are in charge: nothing gets done because they can’t everything they want done.

To use a football analogy, we obviously would love to throw it 65 yards into the end zone for a touchdown, but if all you can get is a 4 or 5 yard run up the middle, then you take what you get. You don’t throw into triple coverage to get the TD if it ain’t there.

In some regards, she’s probably in the top two or three of all time simply because of the partisanship she has to deal with. Tip O’Neill is obviously legendary, but he had it relatively easy relative to Pelosi. You’d have to go back a long damn way to find someone who’s been as skillful during such trying times.
