The Nephilim, The Pyramid of the Apocalypse, and Patrick C. Heron

Sorry , tomndebb, I guess that (comparisons to Icke) counts as personal insult

Seriously, though, all “Third World” people are real humans, but all others are nephilim?

And here I thought the Nephilim were just a good Goth band…

Point and laugh indeed - colour me

P.S. I’m a white South African, european ancestry, but born and raised in the Third World. Which box do I tick?

OK, now I have a few minutes.

I’m sorry, MM12, I’m willing to let your theology slide, but your archaeology, paleontology, history, and even etymology are simply silly.

We have no archaeological evidence of anything resembling human-built structures between the periods 440,000 ya and the cave dwellings and campsites of Homo habilis and Homo erectus and early Homo sapiens. (I know, they were hidden.)
While I am sure that it gives some people warm fuzzy feelings to believe that alien races inhabited the Earth in the unimaginably remote past, the idea that they arrived from off-planet when we have clear evidence of humans evolving from earlier primates and no “advanced” forms suddenly appearing in the record (particularly four times earlier than we emerged), makes this scenario unlikely in the extreme. (I know, they manufactured the evidence to hide what “really” happened.)
(And your “third world” explanation is flat out false. We know when the phrase was coined (the 1950s–it never appears earlier), we know what the phrase means (1st world = Western Democracies, 2d world = Soviet bloc (later including Chinese sphere), 3d world = non-aligned nations), and we know when and how the meaning changed as the non-aligned nations tended to be recognized as poor (since they were not industrialized). There is no 440,000 year old tradition of referring to Earth’s inhabitants in toto as “third world.”) (And you cannot even claim that “they” manufactured the evidence unless you are going to claim that they altered the minds of every human currently over the age of 50 or so to “forget” the earlier meaning while erasing all mention of it in all the published works of the world, only to allow it to suddenly appear (with an altered meaning, and for no particularly good reason) just 50 years ago.)

We do not need hypothetical aircraft to understand how the pyramids were built: we already understand the technology that was used (relying on massive amounts of human labor between the harvest and the next planting season) and can actually see the development of pyramid design from their earliest “man-made hills” to the more sophisticated efforts at Giza.

And since this thread already deals with extraordinary claims, may I ask just how you came into possession of the “information” you have shared?

I so hope MM12 is whooshing us.

And I am sure he’s not David Icke- no mention of lizards!

It sounded like a whoosh to me guys. If it wasn’t, it should have been…I haven’t laughed this much in a long time!

Chalk him up as another who attempts to sound learned by using the word “whence”, but uses it incorrectly in the phrase “from whence”.

I think a legitimate scholar or other author would have had that corrected.

Going by the standard, age-old, pyramidiot claims, what he’s actually trying to say is that the slope of the corners is in the ratio 9:10. In other words, if the diagonal from a corner of the base to the centre is 10 units, the height from the centre to the top is 9.
Of course, that’s not quite what he does manage to say.

The height of the Great Pyramid is actually about 146 metres, in which case the arithmetic does sort of work, irrespective of any worries about conversions.

What’s invariably striking about people repeating such claims is that they often never really understand the old arguments (in these cases, dating back to the 1860s) they are parroting and Heron seems to be just such an example. The 9:10 ratio was even first pointed out - by Sir Henry James, the then Director of the Ordnance Survey - in an attempt to discredit John Taylor and, more immediately, Charles Piazzi Smyth’s derivation of pi from the pyramid. A derivation duly trotted out again by Heron.

let me get this right, the Vatican and the Jews are trying to keep Jesus down?

MM12, you don’t happen to be a supporter of Jelaila Starr, by any chance?
