Probably that’s the problem – Cubans are thin and stringy. Need to use the fattened-up Miami residents for a good Miami Cuban.
The ones made from Dominicans aren’t too bad.
For the record, of the 129 acting roles listed, I have seen none of them.
To me, Ving Rhames remains the Arby’s guy, and nothing more.
I decided to try it anyway. It was ok, but not worth $6. Luckily I had a coupon to get loaded fries for free with any sandwich purchase, which made spending $6 on a fast food sandwich hurt less psychologically.
FWIW, it tastes better with mayo.
Cuban sandwiches are made with ham and roast pork. So Arby’s has diversified away from roast beef? :dubious:
The last time I ate at Arby’s was probably 1984. I used to cash my plasma donor check at the one conveniently located next to the collection center.
Ooooooh, not just swine flesh but cured meat as well! Now I’m hankerin’ for a Reuben, too. :o
Call me comedically challenged, but I don’t get the “peacock” joke. At all.
Very recent incident where a woman tried to take an “emotional support” peacock on an airliner.
ETA: Emotional support peacock denied flight by United Airlines
Aha! No wonder it went over my head; I haven’t watched the news in years. ![]()
Is this a case where “performance artist” means “a nobody who goes around being a pain in the ass for attention and calls it ‘art’?”
I knew about the peacock story and still didn’t find the Arby’s commercial particularly funny.
I like the Geico McGruff ad though.
You got it. I liked it better when performance artists laid around in a glass cubes for days on end, wetting their pants along the way. At least they weren’t holding up lines then.
They’ve had items with ham in them for some time now. Also turkey, chicken, and fish, the last two being crunchy deep-fried rather than deli-sliced. Pork loin is new.
Last time when I was in Arby’s the Cubano was offered but I went with the BBQ brisket instead; the menu illustration made the former look like they’d subbed roast beef for the ham. The brisket was okay but I liked the brioche version from a while back better.
Heck, they even had limited runs of elk and venison.
Thus the whole “We’ve got the meat!” campaign. It’s more than just beef.
So, she’s got an emo emu?
The roast turkey & bacon sandwich with ranch dressing is very, very good.
I get it at least once a week.
“You gotta go tinky poopoo?”
Thank you, no. I do not support the work of imperialist stooges.
It didn’t play for me, either. But I was able to download it ok.
And bacon! Bacon, bacon, bacon! This makes me sad that the nearest Arby’s is 20 miles away, not worth the effort even for Bacon!
