The New Busch Stadium

Here it is.

Color me impressed, by golly! And I’m not even a Cardinals fan!

It looks like they’re going to incorporate the “old school” style of baseball stadium architecture, and that’s a good thing. TBH, it looks almost exactly what I expect the next Wrigley Field to look like (and I’m sure there will be a next Wrigley Field in my lifetime).

I know where I will be on some sunny day in 2004!

Well, I know it needs to be done, but I’m going to miss the old Busch Stadium anyway. I have a lot of fond memories from there. (Don’t mind me, it’s just lonely being a Cards fan in KC)

Don’t bet on it. The new stadium isn’t exactly a done deal; some St. Louis residents have been complaining that this isn’t exactly the best way to spend public monies.

Feh. They built the Trans World Dome with public monies, and a few years later the Rams thanked them by winning the Super Bowl. I’m sure that if the Cardinals won the World Series, the good people of Missouri would get over it. So long as they don’t try to pull something ridiculous like seat licenses…

I don’t doubt that the Cards will be in a new stadium by the end of the 2004 season. Question is, where?

As a good person of St. Louis, Missouri, but originally from Illinois, so therefore a Cubs fans, i find it amazing that the year i move to St. Louis i will end up paying for a ballpark for the enemy. At least the Cubs will win the series this year…

I thought Tharks didn’t have a sense of humor or tell jokes…

I’ve been hanging around that damn John Carter too long…
