The new Hollywood closet

They’re hiding. Afraid to come forward and let their co-workers know how they really feel. They’re scared they will be shunned, ridiculed, laughed at and derided. They are the latest people stuck in the Hollywood closet.

I’m referring, of course, to Republicans.

Sure, a couple have come forward and admitted they support Republican causes. Ron Silver, Adam Sandler (!), Charlton Heston (duh), Tom Selleck and Chuck Norris are all brave enough to let people know their orientation. Actually Chuck Norris isn’t afraid of anything, but that’s besides the point.

We need to support the young actors and actresses who are scared to come forward. We have to let them know that how they feel is right and natural. They need to understand that we love them for who they are.

Please help these hidden conservatives to come out of the closet. If you see one of them reading Ayn Rand or listening to Rush Limbaugh, tell them that it is OK and they don’t have to put away the book or change the station. Let them know that there is nothing wrong with watching Fox News.

Thank you for your support in ending this silent tragedy.

Frankly, I don’t see that much support is needed, since if Chuck leans right, the sheer momentum of the act will cause the rest of the nation to do likewise.

They’re not really Republicans, they’re just confused. They need guidnce and counselling. I think that with the right kind of reparative therapy they can be restored to their natural poliical orientations. Some sort of camps would probably be a good idea.

I guess the “Governator” is the exception that proves the rule.

Well, he went to the camps that Dio was talking about. He has been suppressing his natural tendencies with the help of his wife. If he would finally embrace his true nature, he would leave Maria “The Skeleton” Shriver and settle down with someone of his orientation. Like Ann Coulter.

Or Sandy O’Connor.

Ronald Reagan certainly was afraid to show his Republican leanings.
He was a little shy about showing acting skills aparently.

I’ve heard that Patricia Heaton and Angie Harmon are Republicans. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

ivylass, registered Republican, libertarian leaning conservative, so, like a blonde telling blonde jokes, I can tell Republican jokes.
