I’m not entirely sure on posting this, but since it is a free website that plays music, I’m going to try. Mods, ya’ll feel free to delete and ban, of course.
A short description; you enter a name of an artist you like, say The Brian Jonestown Massacre, into the search box. The function then goes through a “Genome” search of the band you selected, and play you music by bands that have a similiar style to the band you entered. You can give the function feedback by a simple “I Like/Dislike this song” menu. And it’s got a very wide selection of tracks, even getting fairly obscure punk like The Kills and so on.
And it’s free, though you have to register after a while. Just thought I should share, after reading the music groove thread.
Seen it. Can’t say I was a big fan. It jsut seemed kind of useless to me. I already know what kind of music I like, and I don’t need suggestions from a computer about what else there might be.
Hey, I’m liking this! It’s a lot like Launchcast before it was bought by Yahoo and they lowered the bitrate for free users.
Btw, the mods will likely move this thread to Cafe Society, that’s where the entertainment threads go. I’d also recommend the title maybe be changed to something more descriptive, but that’s up to the OP and the mods of course.
