This seems oddly harsh for no reason. My point was stated upthread “New normal, same as the old normal” You might have heard something similar in a song.
While I approve wholeheartedly with using ‘sovereign’ as a verb, I’m not sure anyone outside of Scandinavia is in any better shape to take the keys. US & Friends have all been at the bar too long, we’ve all had too much vodka, and we’re getting to that point where even besties will take a swing at besties. And the damned bartender keeps sending fresh rounds to the table which we just lap up.
