Or you can sidestep the issue. For the last few months, a local radio station has used the slogan “The best songs of the 80s, 90s, and today”. Technically, right now “90s and today” is redundant, but by next month it will fit. I assume they plan to use this slogan for a few years, until they can figure out what to call the first decade.
