Well I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree there. Doesn’t matter though. The bikers were in a losing position anyway. It doesn’t matter how macho you are when you’re on a 400 lb bike versus a 4,000 lb automobile.

Tank drivers in the Army call dismounted infantry ‘crunchies’ for good reason.
VarlosZ:
There are still options, as evidenced by the fact that the driver didn’t do what you suggested. I think if he had been going out of his way during the chase to slam into the bikers and knock them down, there’s a good chance that, at the end of it, he would have been not merely beaten, but killed. Certainly it makes that outcome more likely.
But the thing that happened isn’t the only thing that *could *have happened. There didn’t need to be video of the chase. Say there was no helmet cam, and that the SUV driver had actually made it to a police precinct with the bikers in tow. The police come out and everyone starts pointing figures. If the SUV and its occupants are basically unharmed while there are a half dozen dead bikers littering the West Side Highway, I think the SUV driver might be in pretty big trouble. It’s for the best that he wasn’t trying to swerve into the bikers, as tempting as that sounds.
I’d say - given that he called the Police three times during the chase, little blame would be aimed his way - particularly for a group like this that was known for their agression
Those who followed this event may enjoy this little video. It starts off a lot like the NY event, but ends real differently.

seriously, why do they think it worth uploading the videos? when is chasing and harassing someone ever acceptable?
See: Nixon; tapes; editing, selective
These pea-brains think they’re doing Gawd’s work by being assholes
