And the Obama Economy, vis-a-vis jobs in America, just keeps rolling along. Thank you, President Obama, for finally turning things around for this great country!
I guess you didn’t get the memo:
When jobs are lost, it is Obama’s fault for mismanaging the economy.
When jobs are gained, it is due to the hard work of the private business “job creators”, and we should all be grateful.
Also the GOP holding the line on the deficit, which somehow creates jobs because magical confidence fairies.
Please. None of these economic growth numbers would be possible if both houses weren’t held by majority GOP for the past what, 3 weeks, and the critical tax reducing changes they so quickly passed as a result.
Quite right. All the stuff they’ve done as the congress-elect has effected sweeping change. Imagine what they’ll do after their terms actually begin, next month.
What I find amazing is that Mitt Romney promised unemployment under 6% by the end of his 4 year term. Obama has done it in 2 years. Where’s Mitt Romney praising Obama for achieving things twice as fast and he could have only dreamed?
OBAMA UNABLE TO MEET DEADLINES!!! Film at eleven.
You’re a funny guy. Do you do Bar Mitzvahs?
Oh, you’ve been talking to my brother in law I see. You forgot the part where Obama tries to destroy the job creators using Obamacare. They can’t very well create jobs when mean ol’ uncle Obama is sort of sometimes making them give a few employees benefits once in a while under some circumstances.
As he said to me over Thanksgiving dinner, after his third or forth random tirade about Obama caused me to ask exactly was the problem: “Well, I haven’t read the law but everybody knows it’s killing small businesses.” Can’t hardly argue with logic like that.
Well you should be thanking the GOP in part. Removing extended unemployment benefits at the beginning of 2014 lead to vastly increased employment.
“In the six months before ending the extended unemployment benefits, total employment increased by 511,000. In the six months after the benefits stopped, employment rose by 1,635,000. That means employment gains were three times as fast after ending the extended benefits. It also translates into over one million more people working than if the trend from the previous six months had continued”
edit:Here’s USAToday complaining about how cutting these benefits were hurting people:

I like to listen to Mark Levin’s radio program for the guffaws. He used to mention the “Obama Economy” like clockwork. Haven’t heard a peep about it from the damn fool in weeks!
Yep, there’s a clear cause/effect there!
From the same link:
It “seems” to be clear, does it? How about he provide some actual evidence to back up what he claims?
That’s what they suggest, huh? See above.
I make no claim to know why the unemployment rate goes up or down. He may very well be right, but there’s not an iota of evidence there to support any of his claims.
How many of these jobs are seasonal vs will be around come February?
All of them.
IMHO, most unemployment happens because the skills people have don’t match the opportunities companies have available. People are unable or unwilling to do the work to get new skills.
If we were to put more money into education, I’d suggest it all go to community colleges and mechanical training centers.
that Obama’s economic recovery is exemplary is due, in part, to first, salvaging the wrecked economy of 2008 with massive government spending, then, wisely letting economic policy do the rest, slowly building confidence and opportunities by way of low interest rates and low inflation. It is a formula that everyone should appreciate. Do the businessmen and financial wizards of the USA appreciate it? Just look at the stock market averages…the money earned there from long term investments is now stimulating the economy more than ever.
I have never understood the naked hatred of Obama by a fairly large group of people, willing to believe any patently stupid statement any wingnut could utter…But I especially question the honesty or intelligence of anyone who says that Obama’s economic leadership was any sort of failure. It shines.
Employment stats are seasonally adjusted to take this into account. They have been done this way for years, so that the comparisons are valid.
Nice try though.
