Great ep. I think they made it just to shut up everyone who wanted Dwight to be the new manager.
I had such a huge outburst of laughter at Kevin’s bathroom encounter that I had to pause the show and take a 5 minute break. Also, Angela never fails to make me laugh with those glares she makes, like when Gabe said he was sure he didn’t believe in God.
Who wants to bet that Creed as manager will never be mentioned again?
I loved it. I didn’t hate the Will Ferrell episodes as much as everyone else, because I did find bits to laugh at. But, aside from Carrell’s last episode which was excellent and one of the best Office episodes ever, they didn’t feel like the Office. More like Ferrell vehicles. But, this episode came back and brought back a real office feel. So many good jokes, and plenty of good characters interaction.
Off the top of my head my favorite bits.
Daryl pretending to talk to Andy in the hospital.
Jim telling Dwight the good he did as manager.
Toby being excited about using new forms.
Jim realizing he made a big mistake.
“We don’t need to depend just on seniority”
Fun episode. They probably won’t mention Creed as boss, but it was worth it as a throw away joke.
I wish they’d skipped Ferrell altogether and just did 4 episodes of this. It was like the first season with Jim and Dwight going to war. Terrific episode.
Also, I’m happy that Dwight didn’t actually shoot Andy, which is what I thought would happen after seeing the preview. That would’ve been way over the top.
I thought it was a great ep. I wish they would keep Creed as acting manager for another episode; it would probably be funnier than the string of guest-stars next week but oh well.
“I want you to work ‘shagadelic’ into the coversation three times. And when I cough I want you to do jazz hands.”
“What are jazz hands?”
[Jim demonstrates]
[pause]
“Fine.”
I’m sure there are more than just one, including me. But anytime somebody voices a negative opinion in an opinion thread, they get snarky comments like yours. It’s just easier not to comment.
Weren’t those different dogs Jo brought in? I thought she had boxers, but they looked smaller to me. Maybe just shot from a different angle, or just younger dogs.
Her original dogs were Great Danes, so definitely.
And what we saw in that episode was far better than I think we’re going to get with ‘random list of guest stars’. Hell, just have it where each cast member gets to be manager for an episode as they try to work out who would be best.
