I really enjoyed Andy straightening out Darryl. Andy showed a lot of intelligence and great managerial skills. I also liked how he didn’t get intimidated by Darryl.
The greasing the floor and goofing around was classic Office. They’ve shown similar scenes in other episodes before. And I can see how Jim would join in. After all, think of all of the ridiculous pranks he pulled on Dwight in the past. He’s not nearly as mature and level headed as he tries to appear.
My favorite part of the episode was the end when Darryl and Andy caught the idiocy in the warehouse and you could see Dwight and Jim try to downplay how they were involved.
I don’t have much to add about the content of the episode, but I gotta say: it seems like the current direction they’re going with Andy is that, despite his seeming cluelessness, his likability, pragmatism, and natural talents for compromise will make him a great boss.
“Boss who seems incompetant but is truly a good, capable person and who deserves the respect of his coworkers” is roughly as far from the initial premise of The Office as possible.
