As a Doper I have noticed there were a number of questions that were not answered in the faq/ or didn’t seem worth troubling a Mod by e-mailing them, so I have decided to launch a thread wherein Members may question the Mods and Admins.
About board questions that were’t in FAQ and you didn’t feel like troubling a Mod with (see above), for example. Or it could be other stuff about the Mods themselves. The origins of their Usernames, what they do for a living, if they have any tattooes, if they’ve ever killed anyone ‘accidentally’ and buried it out in the woods (with hilarious results), or whatever.
Disclaimer Most certainly Mods do NOT have to answer the questions if they do not want to. I for one especially do not want to be presumptious and assume that. But if any of the Mods or Admins would like to join in, their joining in is greatly appreciated.
You don’t ask the Mods. The Mods ask you. Besides, most (not all) of them are a pretty chatty group and we already know far more about them than is good for us. People who have attended Dopefests with them know even more, but wisely fear for their lives if certain secrets got out.
Example-
Manhattan has to sleep with the cool side of the pillow to his face. He’ll switch it around half a dozen times before he drops off.
I am curious - how many moderators / administrators are there? And seems to me that I’ve noticed them referring to other jobs – is this a volunteer :gasp: based group?! Hasn’t Unca CeCe ever heard of labor laws?!
How do you determine whose turn it is to clean up after the hamsters? Is it determined by seniority or does Tuba assign hamster duty as punishment? Or what?
If you are refering the the Official Moderator Underoos, I’ll have you know that I don’t share them. Not that I haven’t offered to let Coldfire borrow them for the weekend.
Do you mods read all of the posts that appear in your designated sections? How do you know when there is a thread that needs to be closed and/or a member who is exhibiting behavior that warrants his/her being banned or at least warned? Do you rely entirely on people reporting posts to you or do you catch most of these problems on your own?
