The Official Inauguration-Watching Thread

NBC. I like Brokaw, but he and Brian Williams keep talking over each other.

George H. W. Bush doesn’t look so good. He’s smiling, but limping along slowly.

George and Barbara Bush.

I often wonder how they feel about the last eight years. Must be rough when your son becomes the president and is still a disappointment, eh?

Barbara Bush is booking to the seat. She’s got that grumpy grandma look to her. “Stop greeting people. It’s cold and I want to sit down!”

I’m sure he’s in the White House, making damn sure everything is running smoothly by the time the boss gets there.

GHWB looked like he was having a hard time walking–Interesting contrast with Jimmy Carter striding in purposefully.

Bill Clinton looks 15 years younger than he did during the Primary season this time last year.

Well, that’s out of my price range.

I’m sure it’s loaded to the gills on the inside too. It’s probably got better computer and entertainment setups than what I’ve got in my living room. It’s nice to be the Prez.

Hey look! My seats (just behind the second row of walls there)!

My brother owns a deli in Chevy Chase and he says that he’s had a 2 hour waiting line when he opened up the last few mornings and it gets longer all day. Then he hung up on me because he was too busy to talk. He’s making a fortune over the last few days.

Rosalyn Carter looks like Servilia of the Junii

Sounds like the band is having a bit of a rough time. Damn freezing temps!

 We got actual snow and ice here. Work is east of where I live; it took 'em awhile to decide to close completely today.

I’m on CBS right now, but I’ve got the remote set so I can jump over to CNN or MSNBC. I’m enjoying the random interviews with crowd members.

I’m watching MSNBC, at a friend’s inauguration-watch party. I’m also blogging on LJ.

Did GHWB just slap that Marine’s ass?

Did HW Bush just pat that honor guard?

Bolding mine.

Maybe they’re Ravens fans?

I liked Ted Kennedy’s blue scarf and fedora.

Well, there’s Rahm. That answers that.

It’s stopped snowing here for the nonce. More’s on the way later, I’m sure.

The Clintons seem popular, don’t they?
