I honestly don’t know. I might have caught a few minutes of the chase, but it was just surreal background in an otherwise unremarkable day.
Nope. Me and Hubby were PISSED. At first it was picture in picture but then they turned completely to this very, very slow speed and, quite frankly, boring chase. Luckily the TV survived all the projectiles thrown at it.
Man, just thinking back on it is infuriating.
I was sitting at a local restaurant having a delicious cheeseburger with the woman who would eventually be my wife. O.J.'s bizarre dash on the T.V. was a strange accompaniment to that meal. Almost everything I’ve heard O.J. has done since then has been pretty bizarre, come to think of it.
I was glancing at the TV wondering why the hell the LA cops didn’t setup a roadblock and if the driver tried to go thru it they didn’t just blow his brains out. He was aiding & abiding a heinous multiple murderer’s attempted escape.
And thinking, “Well, he’s 110% guilty. An innocent person would not do that. Case closed.”
Also-- In between throwing things at the TV for interrupting the Knick game, we made all kinds of Blazing Saddles “I’ll shoot the nigger” jokes.
I was also watching the basketball game, and if you tell me the chase was larger and had the audio, I’ll take your word for it. I don’t rightly remember. My team (the Pacers) had already been eliminated from the playoffs.
